The Strickland Arms in Eden

We had a meal and stayed in the Log Yurt. Really lovely place and people, would recommend and stay again.

What a gem! We only had a drink but it had a lovely friendly relaxed atmosphere. Looked at the menu and will definitely book next time we're in the area.

Such a fantastic local pub, the service was amazing, the staff were so friendly. Dog friendly place with beautiful cosy log fires. The food was beautiful, all locally sourced and reasonably price. Would highly recommend visiting here.

A great stay in the Shepard’s hut. The pub is full of character, great food (the pies are epic) and Anton & Penny were great hosts. Dog friendly. highly recommend.

Great little B&B. We stayed in a bedroom in the pub not one of the wooden yurts but great food. Breakfast was fab, evening meals were good value and a good size. Tried curry, fish pie , steak and lamb henry whilst there. All fantastic. Waiting staff were good, and took time to tell is about nearby places to walk and things to do.

We had a wonderful night in the log yurt here with delicious breakfast included. The space inside the yurt was amazing, sleeps up to 6 with en suite shower room, and a great spot for walking dogs off lead just 5 mins drive away on the Lowther Estate. We ate in the pub in the evening and it was hearty home cooked food. All in all highly recommended, we will be back!

Very poor service. Food very average and expensive. Having been myself as owner of 2 very successful pubs/hotels. I suspect that food is all prepackaged Staff have no time for you. Nice inside but thats where it stops Will not return very disappointed
