Westmorland Hotel Restaurant in Eden

A favourite place to stay - great for breaking up a long drive, but also a great place to stay in its own right.Lovely rooms (both the Classic & Crafted rooms), great food, friendly staff & also got the bonus of a lovely view too!Don't think of this hotel as a motorway service area lodge - it's more of a fantastic hotel that just happens to be part of a motorway service area (although it is situated apart from the service area & you don't get bothered by noise from the M6 or the services at all). It's genuinely a place that it is a destination in its own right.

This hotel is an oasis of calm if travelling on a long journey in bad weather! Choice of locally sourced food is very good....look forward to returning in the spring to appreciate full beauty of surroundings too. Thanks to staff for first class service!

Enjoyed a very relaxing two night stay, the room was very clean and comfortable, with a fantastic view.Lovely cosy lounge area with log fire.The staff were very friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble.Would recommend a stay here to any one traveling to the lake district.

Brilliant stay for a party of 10 and a dog. The staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. Never been before but will be returning.

Best service station ever!What an amazing stay at the hotel. Delicious local food at the hotel restaurant, followed by drinks in front of the log fire.Great breakfast in the morning.Then, spending a ton of money in the incredible farm shop buying the most amazing meats and snacks for the car journey.World class service station!!

First time staying here. More a small kingdom than just a hotel. Hotel, fuel stop, services, and great farm shop.Great rooms and staff. Don't write this hotel off as going to be dreadful and noisy as hotels in services usually are.A great stopping point.

This is at Tebay services on North bound side of M6 but easily accessible from South bound. It is a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting, B&B £59 each and it has the most amazing Farm Shop sells it anything from biscuits to huge joints of meat. Stopped at shop many times but this was first stay overnight. Can't wait for next time. Views from dining room.

These people need to open way more of these Motorway hotels.The building is beautiful.. not just a big box. The quality of the place puts a lot of hotels to shame considering it's on a motorway services.Room was very nice indeed. The bar very pleasant with a nice selection of drinks to choose from. Lovely breakfast too using local quality ingredients.Will definitely use again. Top class.

We stayed one night on our way back from a trip to Cumbria. We loved everything about the place. Our room was spacious with all the amenities you could want, with a lovely view and spotless to boot. There was good choice at dinner which was reasonably priced, the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Choice at breakfast was equally good. We love the location and the views, you don't really notice the M6. We also love the philosophy and values of sourcing things locally. It represents great value for money and I would highly recommend staying here.

Good hotel and food. Double rooms come with a massive, comfortable bed. Dog friendly, located on moorland it's a perfect place to recharge your batteries and stretch the legs of your four legged friends on long trips.
