Not a large menu. Either ham or cheese rolls or several soups. Plentiful supply of cakes n scones though.

Although I've walked past this place a hundred times or more, I've always been on a mission to some other place or pressed for time.The one thing that always stuck with me was it was never empty... Always a good sign.Finding myself with time to spare and mouth dry due to a nice sunny day, I ventured in and was pleasantly surprised at the delicious aroma of coffee and cakes, yes please A large hazelnut latte and a generous slice of coffee and walnut cake, was quite literally the icing on the cake 😋The staff are warm and friendly, the service was excellent and I've made it my mission to attend at least once a week, as an avid book reader this place just ticks all the boxes for a break away from the digital life, which we've all become a slave to.My son has attended both times I've visited and as a 24 Yr old, his tastes are slightly different to mine, however we both agreed that as I prefer the feel and smell of freshly printed pages of a book, he likes to browse on his phone, in the safe and welcoming environment whilst he enjoys a coffee, ice-cream frappe, he says getting to choose a different ice-cream each time, just makes the experience that little more enjoyable.A definite recommendation from a 24 Yr old and his 49 Yr old Dad.Two generations enjoying the same place... Must be worth a visit.

Absolutely lovely and friendly staff. You can sit down with coffee and a book.

Not our local cafe as we live in Preston but one definitely on our radar. Great coffee, cakes and scones in a friendly atmosphere. Oh, and the bookshop is kept current and children friendly too which is a bonus.

Great coffee... Soup and ham hock sandwich delicious.Look forward to next time.
