First class food drink and service from friendly young staff. Dog friendly too and next to canal for a decent walk . 9 of us 100% happy

Lovely staff and owner, we were made to feel very welcome as a family. Very busy but still really quick service and food was delicious - proper home cooked hearty meals, we cleared our plates. Will 100% return soon to try the Sunday dinner...

We spent 2 nights in our campervan with our puppy. We were made very welcome by all the staff. We ate in the pub on both nights and I confess the chips were some of the best I've ever had. It's on our list to return, the canal walks are Great too x

Lovely place, really warm and welcoming owner and staff. Food was delicious and fresh, and at a really reasonable price. Will definitely return for lunch again.

It not far from where we live in cottam and have passed it a few times and always said we should try it out. So today we did, only wish we had tried it sooner. There was a great atmosphere as we walked in and the service was even better. The whole team worked well toghter taking orders bringing drinks over and the meals etc, nothing was too much for them. We had 3 children with us and rather then having a separate children's menu, they chose off the main menu and they would get a child size portion of the meal. This meant there was far more choice for the kids then the normal nuggets, fish fingers and pizza etc. The food was really good and well presented. Certainly did not expect the level of service or quality of food from a local pub as we got. Would highly recommend a visit, we will be back soon.

Beautiful old character pub, a lovely buzzing atmosphere for a Sunday evening. Staff attentive and friendly. Food was exceptional, the Sunday Roast and the Hake Fillet Special are both a must try.

Had a lovely Sunday meal , roast beef dinner and lamb dinner delicious. Fish n chips very tasty and burger very good . Service is excellent all staff are very attentive and polite and work really hard. Quality of food is excellent, we will return.

Five of us had a meal here last Sunday. We all had a great time . Lovely outdoor area with both fully covered and uncovered tables available. Staff went out of their way to be attentive and just generally lovely (makes a huge difference) .. Food & drink was fab and no complaints from any of us whatsoever.. easy parking.. good & clean outdoor toilet facilities ... dog friendly too (the pub not the toilet lol) .. will visit again 👍
