The Black Sheep Tea Room in Fylde

We had a couple of Chihuahuas with us so it’s dog friendly here. We ate tea and cakes downstairs. I had a strawberry ice cream milkshake which came in a jam jar with a straw. I don’t like drinking out of jam jars but I accepted it as I didn’t want a fuss made. I eat gluten-free and the only gf items available were scones. I didn’t try them as I imagined they might be dry in that way some gf items can be, so I don’t know if they were dry. Although well decorated the room we were in was a bit small, a little claustrophobic for me, but I do like plenty of space. My companions were happy though so we didn’t go upstairs. I don’t know if dogs are allowed upstairs. The staff were friendly enough but because of the lack of gf products I won’t be going back, but my companions probably would.

Went with a friend for lunch. We sat outside as such a lovely day. Our lunches were well presented and flavoursome. The staff were polite and professional. Would highly recommended.

Very good food. Well cooked and presented. Very hidden location with 1 great table on the outside terrace. Very friendly.

The tea room is down an arcade (if you get lost like we did) Lovely tea room and amazing cooked breakfast and service! Will visit again.

Very quiet when we visited (early afternoon). Food was good but service could have been improved. Chef and 4 staff, only one other table (2 people) occupied yet waits were long, never checked if food was ok, asked for 2 sauces (wrong ones brought). Shame really as one waitress was a little more diligent but score brought down because of her colleagues. All that said l would be happy to go again, perhaps l just called in on a bad day...?
