We booked ourselves a table here on the terrace for the start of Lytham festival.Whilst the weather was poor the food and drink were great,a chap called Damian looked after us really, really well, thankyou to him and the Hotel😁

Disappointed overallWe visited as part of a party of 12 from the 17th -19th June 2022. Although the rooms (221) has a great position, it needs a bit of TLC to the decorations, fixtures and the bathroom. However, the standard of service in the restaurant left more than a lit to be desired. We were asked to prebook our evening meal during checkin. The soup was mushroom and tarragon, when it arrived it was carrot and coriander. Not the greatest problem for me, but, as it had taken over 60 mins to get the starters out on the Friday night it was not the best start. We eventually left the dining room at 22.30hrs, 3 hours since we arrived, the lack of communication was painful.Breakfast on the Saturday was again slow and disorganised with us repeatedly asking for toast, tea and coffee. To speed things up for the Saturday night meal we were again asked to pre-book at breakfast. Despite this we had to wait 60mins for the starters to arrive, we were told this was due to another table arriving late. The lack of efficient service continued.I ordered a cocktail and was served this without the shot of Prosecco. I later ordered two glasses of wine medium size when I got them it was a small measure when I challenged this I was told it was a medium measure then the barman said oh I have put the wrong measure in.Breakfast on the Sunday was just as bad. To add insult to injury I was over charged on my checkout bill as was at least one other couple in our party.

Been supporting this beautiful hotel since it reopened. Had many afternoon teas, drinks etc while visiting with different friends. Standards had fallen the last couple of times but I was told they had staffing issues and always went back. Sadly I cannot forgive the last visit. It was a special afternoon tea for my mum after my dad’s passing. Another bunch of new staff and appalling service. I saw two staff being rude to guests and so unprofessional in general. I took time to go and speak to the receptionist who was lovely and said she would get the Manager but then had to tell me he had left for the day. Six promises he will call me back but nothing and my last phone call was ended with the staff telling me the owners never visit and don’t work there any more!

Had the champagne afternoon tea here with my family. It was wonderful, the restaurant was spacious and relaxed, the food was delicious and beautifully presented and the staff were lovely, mum was particularly taken with our servers smile 😃. We'll worth the trip for a special occasion (and not overly expensive either) I will definitely be going there again.

This hotel can not keep their staff for very long. It is like a revolving door with the high staff turnover this hotel have.Probably due to the fact that the way they treat the staff which borders on pretty disgusting.Especially the low key staff such as cleaners and kitchen porters.Anyone thinking about applying here for any job would be well advised to keep away.

Very old / dated room. Very old fashioned and not worth £350 for two nights! Misleading as the website states rooms are modern! Definitely not 4 star rooms. Bed was also very uncomfortable with the springs digging into my back. Breakfast was slow, waited 45 minutes for pancakes which resembled and tasted more like an omelette. Overpriced for what it was.

We had a wonderful stop over. The new decor is fantastic absolutely fits the bill. Nice to see familiar faces in the dining room and reception. We felt truly relaxed. Our room was spotless. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and service excellent.Nice to be given happy hour vouchers for Christmas cocktails but sadly the barman didn't know how to make them! Later on had great G and Ts made by another bar man.Bar service is an art form which can make a venue stand out. A little more guest interaction and training to provide the items on the menu would greatly improve things.Very much looking forward to family Christmas lunch on 22nd!
