Visited this place by chance on the way to Lytham festival. The staff are very helpful and the atmosphere of the place was brilliant, we had stopped off looking for a place to have dinner before the festival. The food was truly exceptional, well presented and bursting with flavour, we were both very impressed with the quality and price. Though you do get what you pay far, so expect restaurant prices.

A not so hidden gem. Great place for food and drinks.Went on a Saturday night and had live entertainment (singer & guitar)

A thoroughly enjoyable place to eat & drink. A very well presented establishment with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Situated right in the happening part of Lytham just off the main promenade road. There are signs up stating that ingredients are sourced within 30 miles, which was nice to see.The beer battered fish & chips was delicious. Super crispy chips served with fresh, flaky haddock in very crispy beer batter, homemade tartare sauce and crushed minted peas. Also came with a light Thia-style curry sauce. The American IPA was probably one of the tastiest beers I've ever had.Toilets were very clean & there's access for wheelchairs, as the bar area is spacious. The staff were nice & friendly. There is a 2-course option available for £20 (as at 25/04/22) Prices are what you would expect from a place in this location but the quality is so good you don't mind paying that little bit more. Live music is advertised for the weekends.

Attractive decor and bar area, with good food and attentive service, but a little expensive. The west-facing conservatory could do with some ventilation - it was a little airless. However, there is plenty of outdoor seating! Overall, recommended.

Third visit to the Deacon restaurant in Lytham. Cannot fault it. We all enjoyed our meals, the service and the atmosphere. I had Cajun salmon salad followed by chocolate fondue with fruit and marshmallows, both courses were delicious. Highly recommended venue.

Booked last minute and had an amazing Sunday roast. Absolutely delicious food, but very disappointed to see they'd charged us £2 per person for gravy!!!Never had a Sunday roast without gravy, so gobsmacked to see it on the bill. The menu states the roast comes with all the usuals plus gravy so queried the bill and got the gravy charge removed. I feel like they add it to the bill hoping it won't be challenged. So thought it was worth a mention on here.

Visited for a quick lunch on a gusty day in February. The food was superb. Moroccan lentil soup with spinach toast, smoked haddock risotto and mac and cheese. Hearty but really polished. Staff also really friendly.Good value too. Go.
