Place needs a new chef. The current one cannot produce the dish described on the menu. I suppose leaving off items that are promoted increases profits.Shocking.+2 stars because the floor staff are lovely

We came for tea a couple of months ago and lunch this week. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Both times we've had the 2 courses for £9.99 and the food has been good and quick. The beefburger is one of the tastiest I've had and the caramel cheesecake with ice cream was delicious. Also big plus is being dog friendly. We'll definately return again.

We booked a table here to celebrate Mother's Day. Upon booking we were required to pay a £10 deposit, understandable on such a popular day.We arrived for our booking to a very unfriendly welcome, which made us feel like we were an inconvenience by even being there! It was a special (inflated cost) menu for Mother's Day, which had at least two items unavailable, not sure how, mothers day is one day, and our booking was early on.Upon ordering we were told we had to order everything, desserts included. How are you supposed to know if you even want one before you've even eaten! Our bill totalled over £100. I then realised that they had not deducted my deposit. When I queried this, with what appeared to be the manager, he informed me that I would need to wait two weeks for a refund! I found his attitude to be very poor throughout our visit.Apart from variation in portion size between three of the same meal, the food was okay.Given the unfriendly staff and poor service we will not be returning!

I Booked a table for 5 for 2pm we arrived a little early people sat at the table we booked but soon left we ordered 3 lamb shanks of the roast menu expecting to get roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding we just got mash and veg my son ordered a rare rump steak no mushrooms came over cooked and with mushrooms my Granddaughter had a roast beef dinner I asked for gravy on the side it came with gravy on it plus a jug of gravy the meal was okay just could have been hotter when we mentioned it to the girl that came to take our plates away she said we should have asked for roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding I orrderd off the roast menu also a gentleman came to see us about it and he said they we had been given the roast lamb shank meal not the roast one and he would go and find out he never came back and he watched us leave lots of things missing that they had run out of and when I asked for a receipt I couldn't have one as they had no till Rolls it was supposed to be a nice meal for my birthday will not be backYou didn't want to address my concerns on the day but since my review you now want to address it, its to little to late we will not be returning

Early Sunday lunch Barman pleasant. Pub clean but bit cold, nice decor Can imagine be good atmosphere when busyDog friendly. Ordered meals, beef roast and a fishcake, the pub quiet so service really quick. Both looked very well presented though my cutlery wasn't particularly clean. Beef Roast dinner pleasant, nothing spectacular, roast potatoes still hard in centre. Fishcake still frozen solid. Bar staff agreed was frozen and took away, did a fresh meal, no discount or refund offered nor a coffee while waiting. Replacement meal was just OK salad icy cold one slice of avocado which clearly had been in fridge overnight at least. I was disappointed that overall, we had to eat separately, too.I have since had an apology and request to contact the manager. Will do so when possible.

Very clean and the staff were friendly. We bobbed in for a sandwich and they told is they had run out of bread. The sandwich selection isn't massive. We had to choose other things but there was alot on the menu that was chicken based and my mum is allergic. I had a starter with chips and my mum a cheese platter which is down under the puddings. The kitchen got confused and I ate alone as my mums meal didn't show. On enquiring they thought it was coming as a dessert and this was quickly rectified as it was her main meal.

Lisa and the team have brought back real loved gem of Lytham - the new Fairhaven is back and is once again dog friendly. The food is out of this world, wonderfully presented and classy.

I came here for lunch on Saturday for this first time in ages. The pub was busy and there was a great atmosphere. The food was good and reasonably priced and everyone was friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Just visited the pub and it has a lovely new manager who made me very welcome and talked lots about the local community. The food and drink was also very good. Great first impression and will definitely be coming back soon

A great place. Well worth a visit. Very clean and fresh. Welcoming staff. Menu choice gives something for everyone (traditional pub classics) Could do with expanding desserts but, on this occasion I was too full after starter and main. Great location near the Lake and Granny's bay.
