Just been for Sunday Lunch with my two boys .What a welcoming place. The Sunday lunch was so nice with huge potions. My boys had burgers and mixed grill. Both boys couldn't finish their food either, they was stuffed and that's saying something! Homemade roast potatoes are to die for. The staff are so nice and friendly.genuine people. We felt so at home. Lovely and toasty warm inside. Very clean and presented well. Honestly I can't say enough positives about our experience. Massive thank you to The Chef, Helen , Kyle and other bar staff. Definitely a place to go with family, will definitely be visiting again. Once again thank you to all.

Top food as always - for me I always get the 16oz steak medium raw and it’s mint - service is pretty prompt depending on how many are in but must admin doesn’t feel to long ( just right for me) staff are engaging and friendly - always smiling which makes visiting here a pleasure 👍🏻

Nice cozy pub. Toilets definitely need a make over. Plus they didnt have any Jack Daniel , never got offered an alternative. When ordering food. The 2 meals we ordered . Were not available. . So in all. Not the best .

Came here for the night at weekend, stayed in Travelodge and came for food and drink here as was only round the corner so super convenient. Food was lovely couldn't really fault it except the garlic mushrooms, they were rock hard but nothing major. Lil more expensive on drinks but again it's good pub so worth it

Come here quite often, last time was quiz night. Always such a buzzing atmosphere. Staff are super friendly, especially Lindsey who is always so helpful and has such great banter with us all. Food is always spot on too.

First time visiting Lord Derby with my 8 year old daughter who is very fussy. She had chicken nuggets and chips and loved it and to my delight she ate it all. I had a mix grill. Had a few of these in my time at various places but this mix grill was by far the best I've had. Everything was cooked perfectly and still sizzling when it arrived. Great friendly staff too. Ill be back but next time with the Mrs and my other children. 😋💯👍👏

Time for a quick update to my first review and a follow up to a reply from the owner and I'm sad to say I can't give a 5 star review and it's barely made 1 star!Called here at around 2212 on a Sunday evening fully expecting to be able to get a drink, but we're were met by a 'We're closed' - bearing in mind the stated opening hours had just been updated to state open until 2300hrs, I was somewhat taken aback. The place was well lit and there were other people in the pub. This is not what I've come to expect from Greene King establishment.I fully appreciate the right to refuse service, but don't advertise one thing and do another.Im afraid to say we will not be back here in a hurry.Called here on a Saturday afternoon, mid January. Was very busy and the the staff seemed to be rushed off their feet. When I did get served, was friendly and helpful, a real credit under the circumstances.Ample outside seating available, inside was a different story. Overall, the place was clean and tidy, I'd have given 4 stars, but for the lack of mask wearing by the customers at the bar area and also that we were served a a drink in a glass that was badly water marked/strained/lipstick marked, fortunately I was able to drink from the bottle rather than rejoin the queue for the bar!The pub is dog friendly in most areas.Prices aren't out of the way.

Fantastic pub to go to. Fantastic food, amazing deals. Wonderful staff always smiling, caring and friendly. Lovely atmosphere, great events every Thursday with Miss Patricia and the friendship group and the quiz Night and on the Friday with Randall and the gang with the Karaoke night. Just a fantastic pub

Went in at 6pm on a Sunday evening, not too busy but enough people to give a nice atmosphere. Friendly hard working staff members. There is a varied menu and our dishes were really really good and delicious, chick and mix and the Big Mexican. We stayed longer than expected because it was a nice atmosphere and ordering via the app worked really well

Worst food I have had in a green king pub had a meal yesterday. Chicken was so dry looked like it had been sitting round for a while. The steak I asked for medium it was well done the scampy mush plate greesy think it was under cooked today I had the runs but can't prove what it was.
