The Ship at Elswick - The Fylde Coast's Premier Country Dining Pub in Fylde

Service very slow. New menu choice & quality of food poor. Been here multiple times in the past and never disappointed but first visit since re-opening & won't be returning again. 2 stars for the staff who were very welcoming & friendly

I have heard great things about this pub, and I ended up being a little underwhelmed. I had fish and chips and my fish was broken in two and nothing special. The service was slow, maybe they just didn't have enough staff as the waitress was nice.The desserts were great, I had the crumble and it was lovely.The whole meal cost £130 and I don't think it was great value, just due to the main meals being very average.

Went to the ship for a mum and daughter date after hearing it had re opened. On arrival we were not disappointed. Wow!! The place is stunning. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who served us the while time we were there. The food was delicious, reasonably priced and very well presented. There is a huge beer garden to the the rear with plenty of seating and also seats outside the front. We also noticed dogs are welcome inside and out so also a bonus if you want to take your pet along. We will definately be back.

Telephoned the ship at short notice to see if they could accommodate a table for four adults, the manager was extremely polite and assured me that it would be no problem. We duly arrived and were seated very quickly, the service we received was first class, staff very attentive. The food was ordered and served in great time. Food was superb and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this establishment and we will certainly be going back sometime in the future.

Have used the Ship for many years because it's local to me and was always good food and good value. Tried Ship for first time since renovation on Friday afternoon ordered the lamb at £18.50 which I thought was a bit dear but when it came I was totally gob smacked. There were 2 smallish pieces of meat ,almost raw, on top of ,at most 3 very small salad potatoes sliced up, and a few peas all served cold on a cold plate. It's the first time ever that I've been out for a meal and had to go home and have something to eat. This place doesn't deserve one star and I won't be going back again

Brilliant lunch at The Ship. All the food was amazingly good, and Jamie and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The 5h member of our party was a dog, who was treated like royalty.An excellent and interesting menu, and lovely relaxing surroundings, we will definitely be back 💕.

Was just passing by but decided to call in as we had a half hour spare for a quick drink. Nice place in a quiet village. Very large beer garden with plenty of outdoor seating. Will call again as it will be nice in the summer.

On the whole food was very good. However, I was given the wrong starter, disappointing to begin with. This delayed the main meals for others. Once they arrived, three of the roast dinners were cold. These were heated up which diminished the meal further as the food became soggy. Overall disappointed as the place is very nice. I would go again in the hope things improved.

Very good food. Service was slow as most of the girls clearly not trained so didn't seem to know what they should be doing and we had to ask if we wanted anything. We weren't in any hurry so it didn't matter. Overall a good experience and will certainly return.

We nipped in for a drink and ended up staying for lunch! A beautiful pub/restaurant inside and out. Our food was spot on, as were our drinks and the staff are so friendly. We will definitely be back!
