Chestnut Lodge Supper Bar in Halton

I've always liked to support our local chippy, but last time the fish was very greasy. Thought would give them another chance tonight, but the fish was actually rotton and smelly. Phoned to complain but all they could do was offer more fish that we'd have to go out again to collect. No thanks, and will go somewhere else next time. Bring back George!

Thought i would get myself and son some chips on the way home and was not impressed with them.Didn't taste right tasted as if the fry oil needed changing plus they was two occupied with online services which i think they can't handle very well as the orders seemed all over the place .Use to be a nice chippy but wouldn't class it as the best in widnes

Never have i had burnt Donnor meat untill today and I definitely do not recommend

The best prawn fried rice in town, light, fluffy and very tasty and they don't skimp on the prawns. Smashing 🙂

We just got a delivery from use with slimy chips, some raw abs oil/ greasy “Pizza” that we couldn’t even taste pizza or toppings and we have all been sick 🤮, I have Don a poor review on Just Eat

Nice place! I was pleasantly surprised by the staff and the quality of the food!

Id say one of best in widnes pizza is amazing salt pepper chiken to die for try it out all i have to say

For the last 6 years I've been visiting at least once a week. Generally very happy with the food and service. Unfortunately my wife has just been in and ordered the roast duck which is £6.70 on the printed menus in store and on their website. My wife waited 25 minutes for her food and was charged £10.50 for the dish! She advised in store that the menus showed a much lower price but was simply told the price has gone up. Ultimately if you're going to hike prices by 40% you need to advise at the point the dish is ordered and ensure your menus reflect this. We could also have ordered and paid fir this dish on uber for £8.50. Very disappointed at the service we've received tonight as previously loyal customers.

Recent visit was after a long time due to covid but, the food is still good even though no prices shown on boards with new prices possibly due to changing hands. Very busy on the phone uber eats, just eat etc.

Placed an order (quiet Monday) and got a 90 minute delivery time. Received call back 5 minutes before expecting the order saying that there is a problem with the kitchen and could we accept English food. Just weird. Cancelled order.
