Only had a drink there, sat outside and met up with a friend. I had been to my Mum's grave at Hale Churchyard.

All the staff were very nice. The food wasn't the best though. I'd describe it as frozen oven food. I had a chicken burger and my girlfriend had a beef burger. I wouldn't recommend the burgers but the other food on the menu could be nice.

The kindest most sweetest staff ever. My favourite place to visit, food is always delicious!

Been coming here for several years. Food is always extremely nice. I'd advise going lunch time, rather than evening or night. Lunch time is less busy and there is much less noise.

The food and service were both fantastic, really didn't expect it to be that good!

Out for a walk along the Mersey Way and called in to Hale Village. Went to the Child of Hale for a drink had a pint of Green King IPA and my partner had Ginberry Fizz both good drinks. Staff welcoming and a good atmosphere. Had a look at the menu which look very good and reasonable prices. If you in the area its a great village and pub.

Called for an early lunch on a Saturday - quiet when we arrived, but quickly livened up. Staff were friendly and helpful, beer was ok, food was good and reasonably priced
