I took my son and grandson for lunch, on arriving we was met with a very helpful young waiting on staff, we was seated in a lovely place. Plenty of room. We ordered our food and didn't wait long for it to come, it was lovely and hot and well presented, we all enjoyed the food and will certainly be calling back in the future, would recommend the Korean chicken was beautiful,Thank you

This is our favourite place to eat and always have great food. Unfortunately on this visit we both had to complain about our meals. The Manager could not have been more gracious and nice to us and we didn't pay for our food. Jamie and Harry who served us were lovely and friendly and we both feel this was definitely a one off experience and will be visiting again soon.

We went for lunch yesterday & took our dog, Holly, with us. The garden was so nice in the sunshine - clean & tidy, patio furniture with cushions & parasols. Holly enjoyed the fuss, treats and water they provided. Our waitresses, Jess & Caitlin, were so friendly & made sure we had everything we wanted. The food was really tasty and fresh. It was so relaxing just soaking up the sun and seeing happy faces.

Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Side salad was wilted and brown it had a dressing on, when it was replaced just got full plain lettuce leaves. Small portions. Won't be rushing back. Paid extra for brisket on top of mac&cheese was that tiny more like crumbs.

Not been here for years and called in on impulse on the way home from a day out, for Sunday dinner. Didn't expect too much after reading the reviews but so glad we decided to try it for ourselves. It was just before Christmas and they were clearly very busy and probably pushed for staff (Covid) but everything seemed to run like clockwork. Friendly and efficient staff. Sunday dinner was served on hot plates, in a timely manner and was delicious. Plenty of it too! We've been back again since and enjoyed it just as much. We'll be back.

Had Sunday lunch today just thought we would give it a go without reading any reviews and what an absolute treat it was food was spectacular and plentiful veg meat were fabulous and ale and the desert were divine. The service was prompt polite and the staff were very egar to please and to cap it off the heating was fully on which made the whole experience very pleasurable all in all i would highly recommend this place and will definitely be calling back soon .

We visited again today 28.12.21 a Tuesday evening, they were quite busy and I think that they were a little pushed for staff because service was quite slow tonight. Our meal was reasonable, although my avocado and king prawn starter was rather strange, the avocado was served separate to the king prawn cocktail and was warm? As a result the avocado was unpleasant. My wife ordered a Christmas pudding sweet (as part of a meal deal) which never arrived? Eventually we asked for the bill, and asked would they please make an adjustment for the missing sweet. After we paid, I checked the bill and Shauna had deducted £2 for our missing sweet. I now regret having left a £5 tip, as the cheapest sweet on the menu is £5.99. I feel that we paid high end prices (£76 Inc tip) and received low end service. I think that the Griffin has lost a regular customer tonight.

Excellent food at modest prices served by great staff. It was table service only, but our order was taken promptly. The waiting staff were always on hand when needed. Highly recommended

Staff were very friendly and helpful. As we only wanted a snack, we chose the 3 Pots for £10, and were amazed at the portion size. More than enough for 2. Will definitely be going again.

Duck was very chewy and I couldn't eat it. We told the waitress and she said she would let the chef know. The shared starter was very nice. The main meals were good (apart from the duck).
