Toby Carvery Resturant in Halton

Normally we love the cavery here but yesterday we stopped in around 2pm and the food was not up to standard. The whole plate of food was cold and the roast potatoes where raw in the middle. They also gave my partner the tiniest Yorkshire pudding ever. The staff were nice though. It was a shame because we normally really enjoy the food.

We visited tonight the service was excellent with friendly staff.We were taken to our table straight away and our order taken very quickly.The carvery food was excellent all very hot and look lovely too.Yummy roast potatoes,yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese.I would definitely recommend and go back again.

Great food! Always enough breakfast choice. Unlimited tea & coffee.Carvery on the evening was so filling with different plate sizes if you want extra.Staff were really helpful too!

A really great and pleasurable afternoon.we were just passing through on our way to Manchester, we hadn't booked but they found us a lovely table. Service was exceptional, very friendly and happy to help. The food very good, hot and tasty. I would definitely recommend if you fancy a tasty lunch.

Had a carvery, food was very nice with plenty of choice. It was a bit busy and quite cramped. There was no menus on tables which didn't help when needed to order food I.e what size portion and what it entitles you to or not. You do have to go to the bar to order drinks and food. All in all I think it was worth the money and the food was very tasty so would go again.

The food was lovely the staff seemed very supportive but they quickly turned. My partner has not long had an operation to remove her stomach and explained to the staff she would need a child's portion, she had her exemption cards etc and at first they was fully supportive on the matter. They explained she could have a take out if the food was too much and then as we was leaving they said they couldn't do it. They was very abrupt and very rude to my partner and left her feeling vulnerable. Don't think we'll be going there again. I leave 3 because there was nothing wrong with the food and one staff member was actually supportive and that was Paige.

This site has a nice look and feel compared to some other Toby Carvery locations. Food was good and staff were friendly but main disappointment was the drinks machine has no flavours to mix with the fizzy drinks and in particular no Apple Tango ☹️. We did get a bowl of pigs in blankets which worked well to share. Sundays are getting expensive at £4 more than another day during the week for exactly the same food.

Family Sunday lunch. We all had a great meal. Meat, including lamb for a nice change, was gorgeous. Service was excellent by a lovely young lady working on Sunday 31st Oct 1.30. Took mum for a Birthday carvery with my partner. Shown to our table immediately and drinks order was taken. Had a lovely meal which was piping hot. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and staff were great. Everywhere was clean and tidy and mum enjoyed it all. Would recommend to all.
