Butlers Cafe in Hyndburn

Excellent breakfast and service

Good choice of menu, even in busy times you don't wait too long to be served

Great lunch and breakfasts on offer

I normally love this cafe, and have recommended it to others. However, today was very disappointing. I always have the same meal, (homemade meat pie, mash and 2 veg) which is normally very good. Today the mashed potato had several large lumps in every bite, and the bottom crust of the pie was hard with a slightly burnt taste. My partner's chips were quite inedible, maybe warmed up? My coffee, which is normally really nice, was just lukewarm. We didn't complain as I felt quite sorry for the staff as one of them told me last time we were in, several weeks ago, that business had not been good since the reopening. I decided to write this, in the hope that the owner will see it and hopefully address any issues. It's not that cheap, either, especially if you don't have the 'free' pudding, which I'm told, many don't. I would be sad to see this cafe shut down, but I can see that happening if things don't get back up to standard.

Good cafe decent prices and nice staff great service

Fabulous food good staff and covid organised

On the fly breakfast, hit the spot. Partner had a full, dairy free, breakfast practically identical to my own (bonus points). Incredibly satisfying for the price, but, if you are df, bring your own milk! Will return.

Always good food, not a bad price and the staff are helpful. There is also plenty seating room.

Just had a full breakfast and a pudding of ice cream 😁😁absolutely fantastic , well worth it. Would definitely recommend

Just had the breakfast, really nice and enjoyed it, reasonably priced, only one criticism, the sausages were the no frills cheap and nasty white label, situated in a market, it would be nice to use a bit better quality sausage off the market. That's why I've given three stars otherwise would have given five.
