A very community led pub with values and strong management. I love the banter from the locals who include me in their conversations. Good beer and wine with a friendly atmosphere. Dogs are welcome and given treats by the staff with an outside seating area.

It's easy for me to leave a good review for this pub because it's my local and I learned to drink in here many moons ago. I can honestly say the current owners are the best we have had in a while. The ale is great and the prices are bang on too. If you want to get away from the idiots in the main road pubs, come up here (and bring your dog)

Back in January I said that this pub has lost its sparkle due to the the landlord who was in at the time. Thankfully that did not last long and the current landlady Bev and her sister Barbara both from Oswaldtwistle are transforming it back to its former glory. It is clean, cosy and has some good beers on tap. Well worth a welcoming visit.

Warm friendly welcome. Good atmosphere. Reasonable prices just over £6 for a large glass of pinio grigio and a small glass of rosé. Normally more than that for a large glass of wine by itself. Plus selling Moorhouses White Witch which my husband says is grand!! Child and dog friendly too
