Zorba in Hyndburn

It's hardly award winning I'm sure. All I got from here was a large donna kebab with salad and garlic sauce for £5.70. Now normally a large comes on a naan bread from where I come from but this came on a pita bread. I'd think twice before ordering a small because it might just be on normal bread! Anyway, apart from the size it looked decent but that was until I tasted it. I think its the garlic sauce or something but it just had this taste like vinegar. I didn't particularly enjoy it and ate only half. I'd have to be really hungry before I'd eat from here again. The reviews others have left leave much to be desired and it astounds me why Zorba's and others with bad reviews don't take heed and improve. The photographs of their food you can view on their website are clearly professional photographs that have been taken of somebody else's food and not Zorba's. Enough said.

Ordered a mixed grill kebab salad separate, chicken tikka in a tray, pizza base with just cheese and fries. My friend was having the kebab. Generally she isn't a fussy eater but she drew the line with the beef as in her words "It's still walking" my pizza was cold. Now we decided to ring up and let them know. They said they would replace the kebab providing it wasn't eaten, well no it wasn't eaten as the beef was "Still walking" They hung up on us. My friend rang them back again. Myself I was eating my chicken tikka and bit into what felt like rubber automatically stopped and looked at it it was not cooked through was pink and had blood in it. We told the lad on the phone and his response was "I know the chicken was cooked you're taking the p#ss and hung up again. Now in over 20 years of using Zorba i have never complained, but today was just another level, between being hung up on and swore at I have to say I'm extremely disappointed and angry at the response to what was a simple complaint. I have taken pictures of the bloody meat . Will tub it, freeze it to preserve it and speak to EHO with regards to this.

Absolutely shocking, this place has gone downhill, ordered zorba special burger, chicken burger, donner kebab, burger and doner both looked like it been chewed n spat out, special burger was just burger n processed lump over cooked chicken burger n onion rings hash brown etc,dry as Sahara , £20 on £2 worth friozen food n no haven't bothered ringing as every part of food was absolutely shocking never left a bad remark on food even if below oar but this is well deserved

Ordered a chicken kebab with salad and chilli and garlic sauce , tray of donner meat , tray of salad , tonight , and it was best we have ever had. Everything was delicious and fresh, compliments to your chef , and delivery was spot on . Will def be using only zorbas now in the future.

Got a free pizza on top of the stuff crust but from there it went downhill... the pizza was falling off the crust and was under cooked. The chicken fillet burger no way near consistent to your regular chicken shop like a dixy.. this tasted like a mix between chicken and fish thing it was a frozen breast in the burger.. ordered spicy sizzler and was plain and bland.. the tub of chilli sauce had so much mint in there. Chips youd expect to get soggy it was 4 miles away so not going to question the late delivery by 10 mins either -the driver was great... however in general poor food quality. Loads of areas of improvement unfortunately wont be returning back..

I've had pizza in at least 7 different countries (including 3 or 4 cities in Italy) and this... This was possibly the best pizza I've ever had. I can't even comprehend it. Would definitely go out of my way to get this again.

Disappointing normally the food from zorbies is excellent but this time it was awful..... £24.00 it's cost us tonight cheesy chips were cold asked for large chicken kabad was very tuff and dry and donner kabad again not fresh hardly any salad....

The new Zorba forget something every time we order and we end up having to wait up to an additional hour for them to complete the order. Wouldn't mind if the food was great but it is hit and miss at best. Not recommended!!

Ordered through Just Eat and almost a third of the order wasn’t delivered. When phoning to complain had the phone hanged up on us. After 3 hours we were told that if we deleted our negative review on Facebook we’d get the food. It never arrived. After deleting the review. The food that DID arrive was subpar - either undercooked or entirely inedible.I phoned them to let them know they can’t refuse to send something paid for unless a review was deleted. The law doesn’t work that way. They said they could handle trading standards and didn’t want to spend the night arguing over an order they’d messed up.Like I said, we never received the food we ordered. We agreed to delete the Facebook review, but nothing about Google, and since the food never arrived I feel like I’m not tied to the agreement made over the phone.Enjoy your food if you get it. If they tell you that you can’t have the food unless you delete a negative review find a way around it. Can’t help but feel it’s the only way they’re going to receive negative reviews since they’re “lucky so many loyal customers support them, regardless” (their words, not mine).

Fantastic quality of food, absolutely immaculately clean and sanitizer takeaway, friendly welcoming and pleasant staff, all go out of their way even if only to acknowledge you and to say hello or even a smile and nod of their head from across the other side of takeaway. Making it enjoyable and pleasant experience everytime you go!
