It was quite good before the so called pandemic but now the food doesn't seem as great or cooked as good especially the sausages and bacon its a shame use to be a winner

Come here most Saturdays to have brunch with my Mum and the food is always lovely. Staff are excellent.

We've been visiting The Gingerbread since it opened and won't go anywhere else! Nic's food is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. I'm picky, only like my bacon and eggs cooked a certain way and Nic has never let me down. Will be visiting again real soon.

Excellent, had a lighter breakfast and it was gorgeous. One of the nicest breakfasts I have had in a long time. The staff were so nice and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely go again, and would definitely recommend this hidden gem.

Lovely inside. Coffee is great. Staff are friendly. Good omelette. I'd bring the missus here for afternoon tea if I lived in widnes. I reckon loads of business walks straight past without realising what a nice place is sat hidden on their doorstep

Great service and excellent food, very friendly staff and more than willing to help if needed. Food was hot, fresh and tasty and the price was just as cheap as anywhere else, in my opinion its the best cafe in Widnes.

Absolutely brilliant lovely fresh quality in all products such a nice idea and treat for my sister's birthday. Ordered the afternoon tea sandwiches with plenty filling choices homemade scones jam and clotted cream and 6 small cakes . Plentiful and so fresh and tasty. Delivered well packaged and on time. Had Mothers Day Afternoon Tea delivered today a gift from my children. Wow how much food!!!! All excellent. 12 cakes as well as scones, sandwiches, pies and sausage rolls. Highly recommended. Defo use again.

Omg THEE most delicious Mothers Day Afternoon Tea experience I have ever had in my life. Couldn’t believe how much food we got for the price we paid! and unlimited tea aswell! Amazing! We were so full we literally could not move afterwards! My mum was made up. A big thank you to all the staff who were so lovely as usual. I knew you wouldn’t let me down 💕 absolutely outstanding food and service. I stumbled upon Gingerbread by accident after a shocking experience elsewhere... this is by far the best Tea Room in Widnes and seriously deserves much more recognition. Would not go anywhere else. Everytime we have visited the food has been spot on. Delicious and freshly cooked. Eggs Benedict is also to die for. Thank you for making our day so special.
