Whitakers Garden Centre in Knowsley

Whitaker's staff are very helpful and polite,they have a good selection of plants,and other items their cafe is very good and they cater for gluten free I especially like their carrot cake, will be visiting their new garden centre in January 2023.

Whitakers has always been one of our favourite garden centres to visit.Good selection of all you need for your garden, refreshments and food good value for the money.

Been a regular here for a few years now. Best local nursery. Wide range of plants. Staff with good horticultural knowledge. Nice little cafe to have a snack.

Absolutely love this place, staff always helpful. Could spend the hole day just looking at what they have and get some great ideas. Hope they don't move.

I go to this garden centre as there is a lady member of staff who is very experienced, knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. She clearly loves her job. Staff in other garden centres do not compare to this lady. The prices here are also more reasonable. A good place to go if you need some advice.

If you want a great variety of plants, vegetables and shrubberies then deffipay a vists. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are ALWAYS helpful.

Fantastic place beautiful place to visit for granted plants, ornaments, furniture and many more. Staff where extremely helpful an full of helpful knowledge I'll definitely be returning again soon.

I have lived in Prescot for many years and have made countless visits to the garden centre , always one of my favourite past times. The staff have always been so very helpful with gardening tips etc over the years and as a result I have a beautiful established garden. Today I have had the most awful experience and will be very reluctant to return.I have never been made to feel so bad in my life. Myself my husband and my daughter were pushing two big pots on a trolley, a very rude and rather abrupt sales person, walked past us and said you have to go over there to pay as he walked away from the till we were heading. Not at all friendly and could clearly see we were struggling. This male person reminded me of sideshow Bob from Simpson’s cartoon, with faded red dyed frizzy hair.We were then served by a lovely young man and as I went to pay £109 in total. This rude abrupt person with frizzy dyed hair on top of his head. came running over and said to the sales person “ have you checked the pots”, this was loudly in front of us. Of course he checked and there was nothing in them. I made a suggestion that for good customer service he could have been a lot more discreet.I advised I was a loyal customer and was always in centre, his reply was, “ you’d be surprised how many say that “. I further advised his customer service was appalling and I have never in all my years of coming there been treated so appallingly or like a criminal.This one, rude obnoxious young person, needs training and fast, he was rude to other staff as well, something I can’t abide. I will not return to Whittaker’s now.

Really brilliant veriety of stock and well looked after and healthy, great nursery. Cafe is nice to with decent portions. Good toilet facilities and staff are all helpful.
