Aspect Bar & Bistro in Lancaster

Booked a Birthday lunch online for my partner. On arrival the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We sat by the window to take in the view. The bar and bistro was very clean and tidy and organised. The food and staff service was top notch. Would highly recommend.

We had an Amazing Christmas Lunch here. All staff were efficient, helpful and festive. The Food was all lovely, and in such a nice setting. We are so pleased with our choice for Christmas this year.

Great food, peaceful and able to talk. Not rushed and staff excellent.

Unfortunately I hate to write this, my mum is terminally ill with cancer in hospital and can’t eat or drink. She isn’t even allowed to leave hospital until January.I booked a Christmas Day meal for my family at the Aspect Bar in Morecambe,Something I’ve been hoping and praying to happen and enjoy with my mum, gran and grandad.Sadly it can’t and we are devastated.I rang and orderd our meal last week and paid the money upfront which was £260.I called on Sunday to explain the situation and that we unfortunately can’t attend and I am completely heart broken about it.The hotel and restraunt have absolutely no remorse and dont care that I can’t attend because of the severity of my mums illness all they care about is that they were keeping my money and it’s their terms and conditions.I never wanted the money back…Just a voucher to spend in the restaurant when my mum was hopefully a little better!I’ve rang a week in advance with different members of staff relaying messages on from the manager.They said the manager would call me and nobody has…With friends trying to help me, we have still got absolutely nowhere… as I am self employed and have worked the whole way through covid I understand how hard it is and how the past few years have been for business’s but I would never ever treat one of my customers like this, it’s absolutely disgraceful and I am disgustedAfter seeing today that the restraunt has offered free meals to homeles and less fortunate and seeing Aspect quote ‘Christmas is for giving’this has completely shocked me!!!ASPECT BAR YOU SHOULD BE UTTERLY ASHAMED !!!!!!

Christmas party night. 9 people including 1 person in a large electric wheelchair and another with a walking frame sharing a round table that is less than 1 meter wide. It was impossible and ludicrous. Staff not so pleasant. There is more.

Pre booked an outside terrace table...when we arrived they were all full so we were seated inside. Some of the staff were OK, most of them were miserable and seemed annoyed that we were there. Asked for more ice in my cocktail and the waitress (older woman, scraped back blonde ponytail, skinny) looked like i had just asked her for something ridiculous. its ice love, you get paid to be a waitress, be one. Cocktails were OK, service was not, shambles really, when we did eventually move outside to where we were originally meant to be, that same waitress got annoyed that we moved, she needs retraining..or sacking.

Cracking location for a drink - sat and a had a cocktail looking out over the stunning view and it was just lovely. Cocktail was made properly and not one of those nasty pre-mixed things you get in a lot of places. Great value as well.

Looks good, great location.But…We booked, arrived on time, were seated.Then we ordered pizzas, and were told we would have to wait an hour for pizza. So we ordered something else, and had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for that to arrive, and it arrived without the salad!By this time, we couldn’t be bothered to wait any longer, so we ate. The food was ok, not great. We mentioned the missing salads, got an apology but nothing else.There seemed to be plenty of staff around, so we have to assume that our delay - and others around us - were due to staff issues in the kitchen.If we’d been told when we arrived, we could have taken an informed decision about whether to stay.The staff spent a lot of time complaining to customers about how bad their life is. Not something you should be doing to your customers.I accept that there may be staffing issues. Especially now. But communication is everything. If there’s going to be a delay, TELL your customers. Don’t just leave them waiting with no explanation.

The Easter afternoon tea was delivered today,everything was delicious,on time,and perfect,nice touch with the prosecco and creme eggs,will definitely order again,thankyou xx

Been working in Morecambe for nearly a year now and disappointed I hadn't found this place sooner! Could not fault the food, drink or staff at all. Classiest restaurant in Morecambe and the outdoor eating deck is perfection in this heatwave! I imagine it's quite busy if a weekend but shocked to see it so quiet even through the week. Will be bringing my family from Manchester to sample the menu and extensive gin collection 😊
