Buccelli's in Lancaster

Unfortunately I've had to overate this review with a one star (if a zero star was possible I would have scored it that). Buccelli's was dead when we walked in on a Saturday evening which is always the first red flag. Food was tasteless and the portion size; WOW, I needed a magnifying glass just to see it. If this is what Italian cafe dining is all about then I definitely won't be paying a visit to Italy any time soon. Pasta dish was miniscule and bland for the price charged and apparently Al Dante and authentic is an excuse for bad cooking. Save your taste buds and visit Bella italia over the road. Terrible!

To be honest dint even want to give a one star. The food was not at all tasty, it was completely bland. The portions were horribly small. We went there to have some good italian food but were so disappointed that we had to leave and look for another Italian restaurant. Lol!! Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.Edit after the owners comment: we did went to bella italia, as we wanted to have better quality and some tasty italian food. It is sad to see that a customers feedback is not taken well. Also the only funny thing is the quality of food you guys serving

Good people, good service, good food. Reasonably priced.

Pleased with the starters - delicious. However, we waited for our (2) mains for 2 hours. Apparently, the stove broke and they were trying to fix it. Of course that would be fine if somebody told us that was the case, but nobody told us. We could have ordered something else or decided to leave as the wait was going to be long. The mains themselves were average so I cannot give a pleasant rating even despite a nice atmosphere and starters.

My husband and I have eaten at Buccelli's many times and so he decided there was no better place in Lancaster to hold a surprise 60th birthday celebration for me with family and my closest friends.I later found out that Bruno the owner, had been very accommodating in organising a menu with my husband, with a choice of great options, that were pre-ordered.The food, wine and service on the evening were fantastic and helped to create an atmosphere that reminded us of times we have spent in Rome, where a meal is an integral part of a celebration.I was delighted with my surprise celebration especially when I realised where I was going and our guests, several of whom had not visited Buccelli's before, were very impressed with the quality of the food and the range of specialist wines available.I want to say a very personal thank you to Bruno for all his help in the secret planning of the evening and to his amazing team of Ben, Bonnie, Jake and Theo for making it a night to remember!For all of you who have never been to Buccelli's, you don't know what you are missing. It's a little piece of Rome in the centre of Lancaster. Whether you go in for lunch, dinner or just a coffee and cannoli, you won't be disappointed!

What an absolute pleasure to go to this restaurant. I went with a party of 15 to this place to celebrate. We did pre order and the food was all incredible. I don't think there was food left on any plate. The manager was amazing with us, he even let out a good tune to some Italian music. Many of the party are fans of spice and we got a bottle of home made chilli sauce made by one of the chef's, it had a good kick to it🌶️! Thanks for a great evening!

Wonderful first visit! Made very welcome, typical tradtional Italian warm welcome in the city with tradional Italian cuisine given a fabulous modern twist! Definitely not your average high street pizza and pasta joint!! The cannolo are manna from heaven!Can't wait to go back, ill need to ho to the deli just to buy more cannoli!

Amazing! This Cafe-Restaurant has won awards since it opened in 2017, and it's no surprise why. From the friendly staff to the beautiful food, it is a real pleasure to eat here.

The best "proper" Italian in Lancaster!! All made fresh.. Even the tiramusu was made fresh when we ordered it 😁 Pasta was fresh and tasted amazing ❤️ Good choice on the menu and they even had a specials board. Seriously don't even bother going to the othera near by, this is the place to go if you want authentic Italian food. Even has a little shop so can buy pasta, sauces etc etc....Will definitely be back 😁

Good restaurant but too less choices of desserts, i come here to explore italian style dessert. But the environment in the restaurant seems so authentic with italian staffs, italian style english speakers, with italian decors. I like itGood service, i appreciated those italian guys in the restaurant they took good care and showed us a really good service mind.I will come back here again for sure. Another day i tried another dessert menu the cuore di cioccolata.It was really tasty my bae really like it
