AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!. Like others that have left a review, I also received a £100 for supporting the pub as a patron. I parked there for 30 mins, whilst having a drink. At no stage did the staff did tell or ask me for my registration plate. I provided proof to parking eye who said I still needed to pay, even though the sign clearly states the car park is for patrons!!!! this all leads me to one conclusion - ITS A MASSIVE SCAM AND THE DUKE OF ROTHESAY ARE IN ON IT!!!!!!! Most likely get kick backs from every genuine customer scammed. Everyone should boycott this pub and support others.There is no way to reply to the owners comment so in addition, on receipt of the fine I went back to the Duke of Rothesay, parking outside the car park on double yellow lines this time to query it, and I was told that there was nothing they could do and that I had to take it up with parking eye. I subsequently did this, providing evidence of the drink I bought but that made no difference. You had your opportunity to make this right and decided not to, its really that simple.

Sunday Lunch Carvery. Great food and plenty of it. Excellent staff. Will definitely be back again for the carvery soon.

Absolutely disgusted that I can get a £100 fine in a pub car park for being a customer, I supported this pub when we were able to do so throughout the lockdowns and parked in this car park many times so to get this fine was a total shockDuring our visit we sat outside for all of 52 minutes in this time we bought a drink and watched a couple on another table have a full picnic which if the staff had cared to come outside and clear glasses they would of seen thisI would love to know where the machine is that someone mentioned regarding putting car reg in?!!

Arrived at this establishment at the midst of an argument going on between a member of the public and a member of the bar staff which was then reflected on the service we received, attitude especially from one bar staff was sour…. Definitely no service with a smile here..food very basic… will we return?…No

Service was below average, the food was not upto food hygiene standard, I couldn't even get my fork in the cauliflower and to top it off I got a parking ticket no member of staff informed me of any parking issues.Would not recommend this place.Not the best first impression of an establishment......

No food on offer only crisps after 19:30 that's what I was told by the bar staff just crisps after thatEdit:Would be great if food was served for those continuing there journey through Heysham sea terminal , the terminal do not offer hot food just vending machines

Went for a mothers day carvery it could of been better service was OK but unfortunately the food was uncooked ie hard roasties hard cauliflower,tough meat and small portion of meat but it was reasonably priced just could of done with more cooking

This is a public house that has seen much better days. The large main room if fitted out with modern low energy fitting that are just out place. Limited choice of ales and of various pricings. I asked for a diet coke and was served cola in a pint glass with enough ice to sink the Titanic. We had two mid day meals at reasonable prices and both were delicious and of adequate portions. Would I return to this establishment .... Sorry it's a NO

Very nice bar, called in for a drink, wanted something to eat but wasn't serving, would recommend a visit

Went here for Sunday carvery. Food was well cooked. Service was friendly and extremely helpful. If going by car you must register at the bar for free parking.
