Golden Dragon in Lancaster

Lovely meal. Service was quick, and the restaurant catered for me very carefully due to my fish / seafood allergy.

The Golden Dragon does good food and quickly. However two things have let it down.The first is the removal of the little extras diners used to get. These being the peanuts, hot towels after the meal and the lovely cold oranges we used to get as well as the warming plates for the food.The second is the staff. They are surly, rude and don't seem to care about good service. Some wear gloves presumably to appear clean? One seems to have a permanent hole in his .... and wears them in town. I'm not sure how clean that is?

Awful meal. Basically a tub full of raw onions in a glob of sauce they no doubt just got out of a bottle which had no flavour. The egg fried rice should really just be called yellow rice as it had no egg in at all. The delivery driver was rude. A lot more expensive compared to others in the area too.

I've eaten in the Golden Dragon for over 20 years when visiting Lancaster for work, and like many restaurants I visit they have used COVID to reduce the added niceties of dining out. For example, peanuts were placed on all tables, you could nibble away while you decided what to order. Beer was available on tap, now you have to purchase overpriced little bottles of beer, a hot flannel was provided at the end of your meal to wipe your face and hands clean and a whole orange cut into segments at the end of your meal to cleanse your palate. All of these have gone, presumably to maximize profits at the expense of service. I challenged these changes and was told that no one has noticed or commented. Shame....Food is still very nice but overall it has lost what made it a special dining experience for me.

Good food but shocking on the phone and just hang up.not sure who they think they are tbh when I was just trying to order food. Done this before to and for no reason. Do better please....

Ordered for collection for 18:50, food was ready exactly on time.Food was tasty, fresh and portions were generous too, there was an option to get larger portions of some of the main dishes but we wouldn't have needed them.We'll be back again and we'll visit in person, really great food.

Would highly recommend! Ordered quite late on and the staff couldn't have been nicer! The food was delicious and the sauce was perfect! Really impressed.. We will definitely be back again!

Really calm atmosphere, beautiful music, very clean and comfortable, amazing decoration and ambient lighting. The food was amazing, skeptical of the price before we went in but really worth it, well cooked, and amazing service, thank you for teaching me how to use chopsticks, sat for fifteen minutes dropping food on myself 😂, but really worth a visit. £31 for two people. Will definitely be back! 🇨🇳Best Chinese restaurant in Lancaster. ❤️

We enjoyed a fantastic meal at Golden Dragon, the appetisers were really good and the flavours in the main courses were amazing especially the tofu in Ci Suan sauce! We were asked for if we had booked when we arrived, unfortunately we hadn't, after a minute or two we were shown to a table. The staff were very friendly and attentive, we felt at ease as there were many distancing and hygiene measures in place. Well worth a visit!
