Molly's in Lancaster

The one star was given purely for the waitress because she deserved something. The place was cold, the food was tasteless and no care was given. Considering there is 3 Italians on the street you'd think they would try harder. We definitely picked the wrong one.

Came here for a meal and it was delicious. They made special arrangements and kept the kitchen open for us which was very nice of them. Colin, the waiter and the other waitress were very nice and polite. Will eat here again.

Never noticed this restaurant before and stumbled across it by accident on the way to bella italia and so glad I did. I can honestly say the food is rustic authentic Italia, bruscetta was the nicest I've had in a restaurant and the salmon fettuccine was delicious. Staff were really helpful and friendly. I will definitely be going again, wins over Bella Italia any day

We were so looking forward to Mollys after looking at their website and reviews. It was such a let down. My son ordered dough balls for a starter which were tough and dry. His pizza was burnt! My vegan tomato and cucumber starter salad was huge. Literally a whole bag of lettuce leaves and huge chunks of cucumber with a drizzle of balsamic. Not the Italian starter I was expecting and then the vegan lasagne well…: obviously frozen, microwaved and then thrown in the broiler and burnt to a crisp. When asked if we enjoyed our dinner and I said it was burnt. The only response was yes I can see that! We were over charged for incredibly poor food. A disappointment and would NOT recommend.

An OK American/Italian restaurant. The staff were lovely, attentive without being too much.It had a 'lively' atmosphere but we took a table at the front and so this wasn't an issue although the chill from the door opening and shutting wasn't pleasant.We all felt the food was OK but rather overpriced. The brown shrimp starter said it came on bellini's plus crusty bread and was £8.50! There were no bellini's and the staff appeared surprised there should have been. They offered it a half price which I accepted but would advise againt ordering. The vegan portobello mushroom had no protein and way too much salad though it was tasty £12 and a vegetable pizza was decidedly low on vegetables.Overall wouldn't return sadly.

Had a lovely meal here yesterday, i had beef stroganoff it was delicious, portion size a little small compared to the other dishes i saw being brought out. The staff are very pleasant and polite. Overall a nice lunch, and i will be returning to try something else. Thank you team mollys.

Fantastic food good portions ! Great service too. Always come here when in Lancaster and has never disappointed and even better if you can make it for happy hour.

Visited as a group of 4 as a last minute place to eat (unfamiliar with the area)It was okay.If a romantic Italian meal is what you are after then I personally wouldn't recommend. The layout/deco doesn't spell romantic at all, but a family with kids may find it a nice setting.The food was average. Just about warm & oil overkill on the pasta.X 3 bowls of pasta - ribs & chips- starter garlic pizza bread to share - a small glass of rose- a beer- x 2 cokes it was £74Place was clean (toilets are downstairs which I didn't need to use) staff were indifferent.There are nicer & better value for money venues to eat at if you can get a table.

I really enjoyed my meal here. The olives and bread, oil and balsamic to start were great. Only had a chill dog for main, but it was really tasty. The beer was good too.

Fantastic service. Staff were lovely, very helpful and polite. Food was delicious. I'll definitely be going again. We came here with small children and wanted alterations to what was on the menu and the staff were great about it all and picked up our baby's toys when she threw them.
