New Inn, Yealand in Lancaster

Stayed in a beautiful room, with lots of character features. Fresh and modern decor. Outstanding food. Fabulous dinner and breakfast. Very peaceful. Beautiful village surroundings, with great walks around.

The only minor gripe was the lack of a wardrobe in the room we were in. It was fine for us, as we were only staying for one night, but you may not be happy if staying longer.The restaurant food was absolutely superb and we'll be staying here again the next time we're in the area.

Great find. Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Small hotel close to M6 but middle of nowhere, so very quiet and peaceful. Ideal place to stop off mid journey if you are travelling to or from Scotland/England. Very comfortable bed and fantastic room. Accommodated our 2 Springer spaniels as well, so what more could you ask for?

We really enjoyed our stay there. We got a great welcome and the room was lovely the bathroom was to die for. All this followed by an amazing dinner. Couldn't fault it. The cod was so fresh and tasty. My had the beef she couldn't manage it all so i helped out and it was very tender. Big thank you to everyone.

Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely old pub and room in undiscovered area (and all the better for that) just outside Lakes. Matt the host attentive. Didn't try the food other than the breakfast, which was basic but fine. Will return.

March 2022. Stopped for one night when passing through. Lovely place with tasteful refurbishment recently carried out. Dog friendly. The room was perfect. Bathroom brill. Teas, coffees etc. aplenty. The host and staff were friendly and professional. Nice bar and restaurant areas. We had rib of beef for dinner which was melt-in-the-mouth excellent. Compliments to the chef.

Great service. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Great local ingredients used to good effect. Only word of caution check any online bookings with a phone call too.

Called in one dark winters evening hoping to eat. We were invited to sit by the fire whilst a table was found for the 4 of us. Staff professional and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. Beef was so soft. Felt like real treat. Will go again.

Very nice and clean. Nice room well proportioned. Nice bathroom with the bath separate in the main bedroom. The evening meal was top notch and the chef really knows his stuff using locally sourced products where possible. My only gripe is the Continental breakfast. Not enough choice. Continental normally has hams, cheeses and fruit. Some more choice would have been nice.
