Lovely campsite (but basic facilities apparently), had a meal in the pub, we were set on burgers but when we saw the Malaysian options we went for those (they were fantastic). The pub is run by a lovely family, all very friendly, the pub has an eclectic mix of traditional and Malaysian decor which is quirky but really works. We love this place and have booked in for Xmas :-)

Been here now about 4 times. The family run business means you get personal attention. We love it here. The site is exactly as described and the owners are striving to make improvements, however many obstacles seem to be put in their way and continuously things are rejected by the people that applications are made too.The facilities are being Improved where possible but again obstacles are put before them causing them to be unable to put in place the improvements they want to.Thank you for your attentive care of us and making us welcome. We love the site and you. We will be back xx

Camped out in the field at the back of the pub, 15quid a night with electric seemed very cheap. Family very helpful ,meals very nice , drinks way too cheap so donations help them pay the way, as no license to sell liquer. Excellent weekend with plenty of walks along the river available.very dog friendly. Marley loves it here.

Had a fantastic 4 days here. No frills camping at its best. Lovely people. The food was amazing. Totally recommend trying the Malaysian dishes. Thank you Shanti for making us welcome. We will be back.

Lovely family running the site came to check on our first night we were okay and happy. Very basic as website states however the friendly relaxed feeling made up for this. The private fishing and woodland definately needs advertising more as it is beautiful and well shocked. If you like river fishing this is the place to go. We didn't eat at the pub so cannot review this. Campsite in the process of being upgraded with new toilets facilities etc which is all it was missing really. unfortunately some of the visitors were very disrespectful ignoring campsite rules and abandoning rubbish and tents on the site, misususing the toilets and just generally not being basic human beings more like animals

Cannot recommend this site. Toilet facilities are not adequate for the number of pitches. Too many rules. Hosts can be very touchy over the smallest complaints. Also there is a train line very close to the site - early morning trains can be disturbing.

Owners very pleasant and attentive, until we had a dispute over a meal. Landlady very nice. On the website, it stated 20 pitches. I counted 35,although that did not spoil our enjoyment. There was a party of 12 of us, with four pitches and we were placed together. On our last night we booked a meal in the pub. We all decided what we were having to eat, and at the hosts request, took a full list to them at lunchtime and booked our table for 5pm. We later changed it to 5.30pm and arrived on time. The first meal came out at 5.40, but by 6.15 four of us were still waiting. We also had to chase our drinks up several times. By 6.40, three more people had been served. The last person got served at 7pm, but that was after sending some desserts back as everyone had not had their mains. We complained about this and the landlord was quite rude even though we were reasonable and not shouting with him. On the whole, campsite was as described, but the food service was appalling.
