Ricky's Cantonese Restaurant in Lancaster

I love coming to this restaurant! Very friendly staff who are very accommodating and make you feel like family. The food they cook I highly approve of and I would recommend this place to all of my family and friends. The chinese decor is stunning and so is the fish tank in the waiting area. Good service and peaceful location, why not?! Thank you for the service!

Very busy tonight in the restraunt. Staff rushing about. If you are unable to cope due to staff shortages you should close part of the service down, ie close takeaway service and keep restraunt open, visa versa . Very expensive for what you get. Disappointed. It all about money now and not service.

Probably the worst chinese meal ever! The starters were over fried and greasy, the chicken and sweetcorn soup was bland, the soy sauce was off..the duck was ok but my steak in Cantonese sauce tasted of vinegar and the young chow rice had ham instead of char sui..avoid...

The staff are very welcoming the starter was good but the mains were very bland and the beef very tough

After trying for 20 minutes on the phone i decided to drive down (was expecting a queue out of the door). Walked in…there was about 10 people in the restaurant seated and 4 waiting for an order. I was told 90 minute wait, but was desperate for a chinese and unfortunately Trungs was closed so i obliged. I asked why the phone was off the hook and the elderly lady in charge just said it was busy (which it clearly wasnt) . I ordered and was told 35 minutes wait and not 90 as i was first told…strange. Anyway i went home and came back exactly on time. Waited another 20 minutes before i actually got it. No sorry, no charm from the lady. The food in comparison to Trungs is bang average. Wont be bothering again, no matter how desperate i am for a chinese.P.s the comment from Amanda Holmes stating this place is better than Trungs ‘anytime’ is just laughable….dont believe it for a second !

As always we have had a fantastic evening at Rickies Cantonese restaurant, better than Trungs anytime. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Very obliging, the food is always first class and top notch. There’s always a nice atmosphere. We always have the banquet.😋😋Best Chinese in the Northwest!

Extremely unprofessional attitude from owners. 1/5Ambience : 80's style decor, not updated for decades 2/5Food & Quality : 2/5I went there with my wife and two kids to have a break and a meal on my way to London from Carlisle at 5pm. The old lady (owner) acted very surprised and swiftly walked towards the entrance. She asked if we have a booking and when we said we didn't, she said we just can't walk into their restaurant like that and when asked if we can be presided over, she didn't want to turn away the money coming in - so we were seated.Being a vegetarian, I ordered a Tofu dish from their 'Vegetarian dishes' section and it came with a pungent fish or oyster sauce. When asked if it contains either of those sauces, she said it doesn't contain such sauces. Upon asking for clarity on the ingredients of a different dish, she said this was not an Indian restaurant.Coming to the food, the egg fried rice was not fresh, the vegetarian dish could not be eaten properly due to it containing fish/oyster sauce and the chowmein was just sub-standard.This place is heavily over rated and the service being offered is probably skewed to people from certain racial backgrounds.

Booked a table for 4 for 7.30pm. Lovely welcome (as always). We ordered the imperial banquet which was fabulous. All this plus a sweet and tea or coffee to finish. Excellent food and service. A lovely waiter who asked if we needed a few minutes between courses.
