Tarnbrook Chippy in Lancaster

Lovely fish and chips best I've had in a long time

High quality fresh fish, is what I was promised, and it was exactly what I got, the chips were perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the portion sizes are a bit small for the price, however the quality more than makes up for quantity. Customer service is great and the staff will always offer extra chips or even a fish if they make any mistakes with your order, much respect to them. 9.5/10

Very overpriced for a family tea. Got back to caravan and was a fish missing too. To much mither drive back.

Got fish and chips and a curry sauce for my wife and me not impressed , curry was not nice at all binned it, fish and chips repeated on us both, 2nd time we have try it .thinking not again.

£7.30 for cod and chips, tasty and well cooked but for the price the portion was abit small.

Very good, my fish was very white n moist nd the batter light n crispy not greasy at all. Some of best fish I've had on par with Whitby fish.

Good chips, nicely S/V'ed. Only downside for me was that the chicken nuggets were a bit tough inside.

Great fish chips good size fish and chips a lot better than Atkinson morecame

I will never go back to this chip shop, I called to place an order and when I went collect I was told he had given me 2 fish cake as they were flakey I said thanks and took them home with rest of order. I opened box to see lots of batter but no fish, they had sat there that long in the display that it was unedible , I took them back to be told he would make another for me so I waited for a fresh one I took it home again and started with my cold food to find that this fishcake was also disgusting the potatoes not cooked so was rock hard. You also get a tiny portion of chips which you pay a lot of money for.

First time I have ordered from this chippy then collected. Absolutely gorgeous, big cod, potatoe fritters which are rare these days we called them specials in Oldham. Will definitely order again. Everything was fresh and hot.
