Good friendly service. Reasonable prices. Excellent food. Spacious outdoor areas. Located next to the canal for a walk. Limited amount of parking but it was adequate for our visit. Recommended venue.

The Canal Turn in Carnforth is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. As the name says, it's on the canal turn with great views.A large beer garden with great views to watch the world go by. Great selection of food and drinks on there menu. They also offer live entertainment some nights.A place to stop off after a long walk or boating on the canal. Also a dog friendly pub.

Stopped off on way home from a weekend away with friends as after a long drive didn't feel like cooking. We received a really warm welcome from a lady behind the bar who grabbed someone immediately to seat us.It could do with a refurb although the large window area seemed nice, possibly an addition. The menu was basic with not much choice.I had the scampi which should never had been served by any chef as it was over done as they'd clearly left it and forgot about it either that or they needed to change the oil. I had salad with mine which I asked for however it was more there for aesthetic purpose than as sustenance. My food wasn't very hot and should have been!My partner had the Kentucky chicken which was quite moist. It came with corn on the cob which they said to have been of the vacuum packed kind rather than fresh or frozen which meant it had a plastic look and was dry.The area sells this place as a nice outdoor area on the canal to enjoy a drink outside on a nice day rather than somewhere to go for a meal.I'd definitely recommend for a drink and the friendly bar staff were refreshing.

Canal Turn, Carnforth, beautiful setting on the river with an array of wild life. Fed the swans with their 8 cygnets. Very good welcome from Laura, very attentive and professional. Told us the daily specials and only one dish not available. Didn’t matter though as the steak was fantastic. Will definitely go back and try the Sunday Roast.

Lovely pub in a gorgeous setting. Second visit for us. Fantastic evening with the 'Maverick ' entertainment. Nathan the barman was especially helpful!... lovely vibe ..hope it's not turned into a sports bar!

This is a really nice pub overlooking the canal, the bar staff are really friendly and welcoming. We had food and we couldn't fault it. The only downside is the owner. He is totally opposite to the bar staff. He is just very rude and made us and most of the pub feel very unwelcome, hence we quickly moved on. Lots more friendlier pubs along the canal.

Booked last minute, dog friendly which is great. Meal was lovely, so was pudding. Parking available, but didn't seem enough places for the size of the pub. The staff were friendly and polite. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and come again.
