The George Washington in Lancaster

Eaten here a couple times and the food is delicious. Friendly service

Great little find hidden in a village. Beautiful area train station not to far away. The bedrooms are very clean and beds are comfy. The food is very nice and they altered the evening menu for me as I have an eating disorder.. Breakfast is served 8, 30 till 9.00am we had scrambled eggs with mushrooms, and tomatoes my husband added bacon, served with toast. Nice and hot and fresh. Owners make you feel very welcome *****

We turned up with our 3 year old Granddaughter and we hadn't booked. The couple who are stewards there, were fantastic, they made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious and the puddings were to die for!! Highly recommended.

Called on the off chance for a meal and was warmly welcomed. The food was good, sweets were delicious

Superb food, friendly staff and very welcoming.

We love it. Met so many lovely people. We have had numerous meals and never been disappointed. James and Janet are great landlords.

Convivial bar for a pleasant drink of two with friends. Busy on weekend evenings.

Really unwelcoming, I felt like I was annoying the staff, definitely won't be back in. The old school brewery round the corner is a much more relaxing and happy place to be.

What an absolutely wonderful find. Such a lovely inn, amazing home cooked food - lovely dinner and breakfast. Very nice room - fabulously comfy bed. Very friendly owners and it was lovely to chat to locals who were in the inn in the evening. All around a lovely evening spent at this inn. Thoroughly recommend. Shame we didn’t plan to stay for longer to investigate the local area. We will have to return.

Been here a few times over the years when staying around the area, great home cooked foods. We had the pudding and fish which were both excellent. Great range of cask ales.
