We have two boys. One 18 month old and one 13. We had a really good stay in one of the Pods. Was clean and had everything we needed for our little getaway. The location was great also. looking over the water and watching the tide come in. We had food at the pub on the evening which was really good and also very reasonably priced. Breakfast was great also. All and all really good value for money,.

We only stayed here for one night as we were passing through. We arrived late so didn't manage to catch a last drink at the bar but checking in was easy and the people there all seemed very happy. It quite busy which was a good sign. The room was comfortable with an en suite and suited us perfectly. Plenty of parking with well maintained spaces to be had between the pub and the rooms. We did have breakfast included which was (broadly) cooked breakfast (big or quite big), the usual egg options and toast. The service was polite and friendly. For a quick flying visit the place was perfect. The view at breakfast was amazing. Shame we missed it the night before. Many thanks and a definite recommendation to others!

Stayed ere valentines day till the Monday. Great place to stay especially if u want to chill and just sit have a drink and watch the river flow by. The rooms are lovely and spacious. The owners are lovely friendly and helpful breakfast good and again you have a lovely view whilst eating. We went on a very wet and windy weekend but the surroundings made it all good. Thank you.and and

Absolutely amazing place! Beautiful scenery and the accommodation is just as good. The staff are great as well, overall one of the best places I have been to. Peter the manager is great and he borrowed us wellies to get across the river when we didn't know about the high tide!

We stayed one night taking our daughter to University. The room was wonderful, double and single perfect. Warm and TV and tea making facilities. The bar looked fun but we headed into town to get our bearings. The breakfast was superb the full Monty was delicious and more than I could eat, I was just being greedy! Super views and on summer days could sit outside and watch the river. There is also outdoor film facilities and bar which we will look out for next year. Thank you to all great stay!

A beautiful, atmospheric new dining room, overlooking the River. Gorgeous. So relaxing. We had the steak. We ordered it 'medium', but, although it was still tasty, it was over-cooked and quite dry. Otherwise, a perfectly enjoyable meal, in a fantastic river location

When I initially read the reviews about this hotel, I had no idea what to expect as they ranged so much in opinion. The area around the hotel is lovely and peaceful with views across the river Lune. I stayed in a room as opposed to a pod and the standard of the the room was at or above the standard expected of the price paid. The bedding and towels were a good quality and the room temperature for the time of year was perfect for me. My evening meal was very satisfactory, and the homemade tomato and basil soup in particular was delicious. Breakfast the following morning was all freshly made and way surpassed the standards of establishments that are more expensive. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and if the opportunity arises, I would definitely stay there again. I hope my review helps you in your decision on where to stay.

Really friendly staff, nice food, and a lovely view. We had a lodge room at the back of the hotel which was really well furnished, with a double and a single bed in. The single bed was a great hit, as it came with it's own TV!Its incredibly peaceful, with wonderful river views, but not very far at all from town.

Nice spot by the lune estuary with a traditional interior. There's good beer and friendly staff. The food is not spectacular, but certainly passable. Fair play if they're just not interested in turning it into a 'cub'.

Went to the golden ball as we were looking for somewhere to eat outside in the sun. There was lots of outside space and tables with a great view over the river. The food was reasonably priced and the portions were big. We had burgers and they were great. We'll definitely be back again, hopefully with the kids next time to try out the outdoor play area and the kids menu.
