The Mill at Conder Green Restaurant in Lancaster

I went for a wedding. We stayed in the Stork inn nearby because the hotel was full of other wedding guests. The rooms were really nice.The wedding venue was superb. They had perfectly set it up in a beautiful fashion. We had the main ceremony. Then went outside to socialize whilst they reorganized the room for the meal. Then after that we did the same as they cleared the flood ready for dancing.The night before the wedding we ate in the restaurant. I had a great pie of the day alongside a great cider that was on tap.Over all it was a great weekend made better by friendly service in a great venue.

The food is absolutely gorgeous! The Sunday roast was delicious, the beef in particular was the best I’ve ever had. All the staff were fantastic, very helpful, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. 5 star service and 5 star food would definitely recommend and can’t wait for next visit.

What a superb little hotel. Bit remote on the side of a canal so not a lot to do locally for the one night we stayed there. Our room, number 21, was brilliant. Bed, massive! The food in the restaurant was excellent. A bit pricey but then quality costs so I'm not complaining. Breakfast was excellent too. Staff friendly and chatty. I'd stay there again without a second thought. Lovely place. Five stars. *****

Rather a last minute booking for our family of twelve but The Mill managed to accommodate us. We all had an excellent meal, served by lovely staff. We have been before, but felt that to fit us in at short notice when they were so very busy was great service!Highly recommended.

Two of us went for an evening meal without booking in advance. We had to wait for a table but could sit with a drink on the comfy sofas in a pleasant bar. The food was delicious...grilled hake and duck with blackberries, both with fresh veg selection. Desserts were good..cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding, although the cheesecake was more like a posset on a biscuit crumb. Staff very pleasant, service leisurely.

The staff, facilities, meals all outstanding. Staff so friendly especially Sarah on reception, Liam on bar and Charlotte waiting on. Bedroom lovely and spacious with great views. Thank you for a great stay we will be back.

Restaurant only. We ate here as a family of four. Unfortunately, the prices didn't match the standard of food on our particular visit.My chicken forester was supposed to have a pancetta, garlic and red wine sauce but was just gravy with some mushrooms added along with a very small chicken supreme portion. Was tasty enough, but not really what I ordered and despite being £17 felt closer to a cafe meal.The local Hen ale was lovely, but was also £4.30 a pint.Hopefully, we were just unlucky.

Great service, lovely spot next to the canal. Not too busy at lunch and the decor was of a high standard - the food, however was average. I ordered fish which was slimy and very fishy smelling. Didn’t taste fresh, left most of it. Wouldn’t rush back for this reason.

Stayed over in one of the luxury rooms and it was lovely! Spacious, comfortable, clean, modern room and bathroom. Nice peaceful location - we enjoyed a walk down by the canal (should have took wellies or walking boots as it was muddy). Evening meal in the restaurant was absolutely delicious, couldn't fault any of it and the view out the restaurant was lovely! Staff very friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend and come to stay again.

What a beautiful place - exceptional decor.I should have asked for gravy separately as roast potatoes were soggy on the roast of the day. Also vegetables a little too well cooked for me so will ask for them aldente next time along with a hot plate. Will go back - soon!
