2 lady's working on the 26th behind the bar were great hosts rooms were well presented and clean

Nice quite place to relax and chill for good conversations, very clean and tidy tables, very welcoming staff, a happy place to visit. Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay over.

I don’t appreciate the customers here mocking me and my family’s accent. Also, the passive aggressive and condescending man who checked us in making me extremely uncomfortable. Also “wheelchair accessible” is a lie.

Hotel is gorgeous with beautifully decorated rooms in a converted stable. Location was great and staff were really friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

We had a comfortable stay and a lovely roast dinner. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

I booked this hotel as it was close to the hospital where I was having surgery the next day. Upon arrival the lady was very accommodating and as I was self isolating, arrangements were made so that my wife and myself were unable to have room service which is not normally offered to guests.The room was in the outbuilding of the hotel and was clean, had all we needed. As it turned out we ate our evening meal in the wonderful beer garden. Again the staff respected my self isolation requirements.Great place to stay, will definitely visit again.

Our room was freezing on arrival. Had to put the heater on and go into the bar to warm up whilst the room heated up. Room very small. Glasses in the bathroom were dirty. Took ages to get hot water running in the shower.Bed very comfortable and pillows are good.£90 for one nights stay without parking. In my opinion it wasn't value for money.Bar itself is very nice and staff really helpful

Just back home from staying at the Royal for our anniversary weekend. Rooms are spotless and the staff are really friendly and cannot do enough for you. Stopped for Sunday lunch which was amazing. Complements to the chef.

Room looked nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and heat, the towels were big and soft. Hot drinks facilities were stocked well and a few complementary breakfast items were provided.The bar was nice with a good selection of reasonably priced drinks, the staff were helpful and friendly and it's close to both the train and bus station.
