The Stork Country Inn in Lancaster

Stayed nearby on a caravan site, and visited The Stork twice. Once just for a drink, and the second for a meal. On both occasions the staff were very welcoming and made a great fuss of our 6 month old Fox Red. The meals and service were excellent, and we will certainly re-visit. We were also informed that they were preparing dog friendly rooms for overnight accommodation. Thanks and will see you again.

Our third visit here, and another very enjoyable one. I've tried two afternoon teas here, and a meal. All fabulous. The afternoon teas are exceptional and fantastic value for money. The meals are reasonably priced and good. The pub is a nice bright, airy place, very clean. Plenty room to manoeuvre and an accessible separate loo. The staff are fabulous, friendly but not in your face. Nothing is too much trouble. We tend to eat early, and find that 4pm is an ideal time at the weekend, before the teatime rush. There is a good sized car park. We'll definitely be returning soon.

Delicious food in a remote country pub. Modern interior design and good choice of food and beer. Good service!

I love the new decor after the place has been rebuilt and refurbished. It's light and bright but still has that old cosy feel. I had a steak philly with vegan cheese. It was delicious and great value for money on the sandwich menu. The vegan cherry brownie cheesecake was a bit disappointing, a large portion, well presented but all that dark chocolate made it too rich. A few more vegan options on the desert menu would be great. I still loved my visit though and will be going back soon.

The Staff are the BEST. The waitress who is perhaps the Supervisor is brilliant. Give her a pay rise, she knows everyone and treats everyone with kindness and always with a smile. A huge asset to The Stork.The food we ate was well presented and always hot. Cooked to order. We visited 3 times during our stay. Our friends had 2 dogs, these were well catered for. This pub is obviously popular with locals as well as us visitors. When back in Lancaster we will definitely be visiting again.Well done to all staff at The Stork.

Just visited. We ordered Roast Beef, Turkey x2 and Lamb. The portions were just right. The two who had turkey missed their stuffings but the beef and lamb were beautiful. The dog loved the water bowl. The puddings were fantastic. The Staff were friendly and helpful. Agreed place to visit. Will return soon.

3 of us went for Sunday lunch today. Food was nice and good portions. Had to wait 1hour for food on a pre booked table, but this was explained to us on arrival as they were very busy.Pub very clean and tidy. Staff very attentive and friendly , only criticism was how the gravy had been put in the gravy boat and all down the sides of the gravy boat. Well worth a second visit , not bad value for the money

Lovely little pub/guest house in a rural setting. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Newly renovated with a real homely feel. Very clean and tidy and was pleasantly surprised at the large room with lots of space for 2 of us. Fantastic large bed and a large screen TV too. The shower room/toilet was spacious and modern too with thoughtful shampoo, soap, lotion dispensers (which smelled lovely). The location was quiet and we woke to a crisp, frosty morning but we were toasty and warm in our room. The tasty breakfast we ordered (full English) was huge and we couldn’t even finish it (surprisingly, as I was hungry). Fantastic value as this was included in the room price. Can’t fault this little place at all, even parking wasn’t an issue as there were plenty of spaces in the car park opposite.
