This USED to be one of the best pubs in Lancaster.I came in this evening, they've absolutely ruined it. All the quirks, great beer and lively atmosphere have been stripped away, what's left is a soul-less overpriced, awful shambles. The 'live' music, is so loud you can't hold a conversation, the beers are now very basic and every fond memory of what the tap House used to be, crashed and burned faster than the rancid pint I gave up on :(

Great evening at The Tap House last night with local musicians - great atmosphere, great company, great music!

Discovered on the Lancaster Music Festival Trail. Gem of a pub, we'll be back!!

Awful. Last went here during lockdown when the dopey barmaid forgot I was in the pub despite the fact that there was only 2 other people there. A bloke sat at the bar with a laptop who was clearly involved in the running of the pub totally ignored me. I left, swore I wouldn't go back. Sadly I made the mistake of going back to find the same duo in charge. Served an overpriced awful vinegar smelling pint which was undrinkable. Choice of beer was pathetic. Avoid.

Average pub, nothing bad about the place or particularly good, friendly barman however. Not sure the name tap house is justified had 2 real ales on when I visited and a selection of the usual macro brewery keg beers.

One of the best real ale pubs in Lancaster. A fantastic selection of tap and craft ales. Although they don't provide meals, they do offer amazing sharing platters made from local produce. I highly recommend

Great pub with a choice of good real ales. Good seating areas and where else can you turn up and just have a pie an a pint

A relaxing place to meet friends after work, shopping and sightseeing. A historic city centre venue renowned for it's warm welcome, good selection of ales, regular live music and a must for those visiting the city.
