Where do I begin when writing a review for this fine establishment?I have been a regular customer of the Crafty Scholar for the last three years (excluding a summer hiatus). Many of my fondest memories were made in this establishment, ranging from being sold lollipops by Jerry and Mike serving me some cracking drinks. It really is the bar service of the many staff that work here which makes visiting such a memorable experience.The reality is that I love coming here. This is easily the best pub in Lancaster and I especially look forward to Mike serving me with professionalism and a smile.Well done Crafty Scholar. Have a Dark Fruits on me! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hi, me and my Family came to the Crafty Scholar for our lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered our meals and paid at the Bar, I sat back down with my Family and the Bar maid came back and said that the money hadn't gone through, which I was sure it had. So I ended up paying again. I checked my online banking while there and it hadn't updated, so checked again Monday and they have charged me twice. I have been on the phone to the Crafty scholar and they said it could take up to 28 days to be refunded. Which I don't think is right, I've been in touch with my bank and they said I would have to wait until that time becouse they have stated that time scale. So I'm just letting people know just to keep an eye when paying for anything with card at this establishment.

Had a lovely meal here, the service was amazing! Our server Anna was super welcoming and a pleasure to be served by. Also, excellent small plate and nachos selection!!

Great Venue, brilliant location and the menu is great. Had a great visit with my son today, both really enjoyed everything. The service by Millie was excellent. Will be back again!

My husband and I are regular visitors to Lancaster. We always go to The Crafty Scholar at lunch time. Food is delicious and good choice on menu. Excellent table service from Anna 🙂

Crafty's can't be missed in Lancaster, that's for sure.However, I'd never recommend eating in here to anyone, it's totally and entirely a place for drinks and a dance on a night out.It's great for a function upstairs actually, but prime time at Crafty's is 100% on a Friday/Saturday night post 11pm.The drinks are decent, they're not too expensive, but the place itself tends to attract all types of people you wouldn't want hanging around yourself.I've personally witnessed all sorts of drunken activities, some foiled by the security, but not all.It's extremely rowdy, loud and obnoxious, but that's what's great about it to some extent. The student deals are okay, but the lack of actual vodka in your double vodka is a little suspicious.Nevertheless, we visit Crafty's most Friday nights, as it's the place to be in Lancaster!I did see that it's marked as LGBTQ friendly on it's Google Page. I can't dispute this, however, it's not somewhere I'd openly express on a Saturday night with some of the drunkenness that goes on.

Amazing Christmas Meal, orchestrated by Amelia who was just so useful. We had a wonderful time and they easily hosted our entire group, which was a group of 40!Thank you Amelia + staff for everything! You guys are amazing!

Fantastic evening for our Annual Football Christmas Meal. Amelia was absolutely superb in terms of sorting out the evening for 66 people and was faultless throughout her time organising. Her help made my job so much easier and she was always happy to help wherever requested. All the staff on the evening were great as was the service throughout. Highly recommend!

My favourite pub in town. Got married there and everything was brilliant. Staff is great and so helpful.I love watching football in there, getting some nice food or going for a night out.Always have a good time at this pub 🤘🏻
