Bear & Staff in Liverpool

Nice in the summer to eat in the beer garden but not the bestEdit : I actually went to the bear and staff last night and it was far better than last time the food was particularly good and I would definitely recommend the salt and pepper squid to start and the 14 day aged fillet for main and the triple chocolate brownie to finish

The staff are so lovely. However, my starters was cold and my daughter didn't get all of what it said for her starter initially. My main come out and that was cold too and the side was burned. The staff changed the whole meal and gave extras of the side. The staff couldn't do enough for us, especially Toni.

Service good; food predictable pub-grub but perfectly acceptable, except that the pastry on the steak and mushroom pie needed a pneumatic drill to get through it!Very pleasant surroundings and an excellent range of beers.

Great little find. Lovely staff who couldn't do enough for us, nice food, good range of drinks. The pub is a mix of modern and old in its looks. Lovely place, will be going back soon.

Had a mixed grill and my family had 2 gourmet burgers.We also had a sharing platter to start.All food was lovely.Staff very helpful and friendly I couldn't fault it.Will definitely be returning.

Lovely ambience, great staff who are very accommodating and cheerful. Had a lovely meal here. Only slight moan, need to practice their Irish coffee making. Lovely girls serving.

Quiet Thursday evening. Service was excellent and staff courteous. Would've liked a broader choice on the menu nevertheless the wife's cod and my gammon were both very tasty; tripled cooked chips were to die for!

Food was served cold (corn on the cob still freezing to touch!) and waiting staff did a great job in sorting it all out. but the manager they called over didn't appear to know what to do as it was one of the waiting staff who sorted our bill out for us. I doubt we will return, which is a shame as this chain, the chef and brewer, are pretty good for service and food. but obviously not this one!

Lovely beer garden, nicely kept and peaceful. Staff are lovely and attentive. Food was ok, vegan burger patty was charcoal around the outside and soup didn't taste nice enough to finish. Partner had no issues with chicken burger ☺️
