Overall a very nice experience with a predominantly veggie menu. The negatives are that there were only two white wines by glass and one of them was unavailable! Felt the devilled eggs are very pricey for what you get. The leek and potato rosti lacked seasoning and the cured yolk was congealed. The dish needs a bit of a sauce. However we loved the artichokes, beetroot, bread and butter and the rhubarb custard dessert. The atmosphere was also laid back. Overall our second time here and we will be back albeit for the price, for a special occasion only.

Oh my giddy Aunt! The food is simply spectacular. Two of us got a table last night and had probably the best food I’ve tasted in years. The restaurant is small, stylish and staffed by wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable staff who have a real passion for the food and wine they serve. The food is so wonderful and clever and unusual but unfailingly delicious. If you can get a table Go!

An absolute must if you are in the area. Amazing dishes, fantastic service and really reasonably priced. It is shame we live a 2 hr drive away!

A genuinely exceptional experience during our visit to Liverpool. Everything presented to our table was delicious and the service was great from start to finish. Highly recommend the sourdough with celeriac honey butter, the heritage carrots and the Guinness rarebit potato. Can't wait to return on our next visit!

Went for the first time. Can say food was honestly absolutely amazing. That paired with the service just topped off the experience. The food come out looking beautiful and tasted phenomenal, can't wait to tell everyone that will listen about it aha. Eagerly waiting to go back again!!

Had a terrific meal here last night. Eight small plates and a natural red wine without a single disappointment, all packed with flavour, superbly prepared and served up in an elegantly pared down and cosy dining room. Down to earth and attentive service. A local restaurant that’s going places.

Very friendly and warm service, great cocktails and the food was good too! Menu changes regularly with the seasonality of the ingredients. Prices were reasonable too, especially given the quality and service. The cauliflower butter was a highlight, alongside the mousse.

Food was absolutely delightful. Seriously one of the better meals out I've ever had. The mushroom gnocchi was absolutely devine. Waiting staff were extremely friendly. They recommended us a rosé wine which I wish I could remember what it was called as it was lovely. Thoroughly recommended. Will go again

We returned to Liverpool as we’ve been living in Lyon, France (thé gastronomique centre of France) for a few years. We tried here and my expectations were low. Food in the UK is getting better year on year but it’s still not exceptional. This was exceptional.Very well presented and tasty.Lovely, good value and amazing food.Definitely recommended.

Super friendly, excellent food and a quirky environment. Enjoyed the Full English breakfast, which was stunning; extra thick cut bacon, great banger, eggs just perfect, their own baked beans, really good hash brown and black pudding.Dog friendly to the point that she got her biscuit and water first!A real find.
