Lovely chip shop. I have been coming here for years. It's was previously run by the same family for years, but now it's under new ownership. Standards are still really high and the chips are fantastic - no warm ups even when the doors open at 4.30pm. Highly recommend.

Good fish and chips. Nice curry sauce. Covid-19 distancing in place. You will probably have to wait outside, dress accordingly

We ordered a range of dishes for our family night in, due to our usual take away being closed and whilst the food was really nice; portion sizes were particularly small. The fried rice was restaurant standard however, Everything top draw especially the chinese meals. I had chicken chow mein, and hot and sour soup this time spot on

I first visited this takeaway on Chinese New Year. As can be seen from my surname , I have Chinese heritage. I wished the 2 female members of staff HNY in Chinese and didn't receive an acknowledgement for it. I then asked if they could possibly, 'make up' a traditional Chinese meal for me, explaining I was 'half Chinese ' and used some Chinese language to which I was looked at with disdain and a really short curt response of, "so really you mean...." to which I just relied yes, okay. This was because it was absolutely freezing, raining very hard and I was soaked to the skin looking for a takeaway that was open. To say I was very disappointed with the meal is an understatement. This evening my daughter came to visit and we decided to 'give it another gig'. Boy, oh boy... they surpassed themselves this time!!! Tasteless food which had more veg and sauce than anything else. Tough meat and when my daughter phoned to complain, and mentioned that we had never heard of a 'special' without prawns and peas in a meal that should be left to omelettes she again was met with a very, negative attitude and abysmal customer service!! She also mentioned that our family had had 3 takeaways for over 20+ years in her conversation to which the response was "Yeah, well I've been here for 35"!! Wasn't trying to score points hun, obviously know you're pretty rubbish so that was your only 'comeback'!! I should have gone with my gut and avoided it like the plague but, tbh.. I was really Ill with a viral infection and in no mood for cooking. Disgusting food, abysmal attitude and customer Service. I would rather starve!!!Even 1 star is too much. It wouldn't let me post with none!

Been coming here for 30 years, foods always great and service with a smile. We have known the owners for the same amount of time. Lovely family.

Not bad just small portions and not a great deal of flavor in the food. I would guess they dont use MSG.

The meals were cooked just right and didn't have to wait long for them and there was ample amounts of food.The staff were very helpful adding extra ingredients we asked for and taking the time to explain how each of the dishes on the menu would taste.I would certainly recommend Chan's Chop Suey. 👍👍👍
