Sophisticated restaurant with glass walls and river views, for inventive Chinese dishes and dim sum.

I’ve lived in liverpool for 6 years and have not heard of this place until very recently - I was recommended to go here by an Uber driver who said his Chinese clients have said this restaurant was authentic. I brought my family who could speak Chinese (Cantonese) with me and we had a lovely experience. Staff were accommodating and were great on the phone when we booked in last minute. There are 2 menus, one has more western-style Chinese dishes and the other one has traditional Chinese dishes. Our food was gorgeous and the views of the river was gorgeous too. We felt very welcomed here and we would come back! This will now be our favourite place for Chinese. Bonus: plenty of parking.

Terrible Experience Here, the food was pretty average, I've eaten from nicer takeaways to be fair ! The staff here was dam right Rude, I'd been sat less then 5 minutes and I must have been asked to order 15 times at least and I hadn't even ordered a drink ! On top of that they barley spoke a word of English. And finally price, I came here on my own, I got a chicken curry with rice and a coca cola, that cost me £37 !!! I suppose the nice views and chinese food is what draws people here but would deffo not recommend

Fabulous food but it’s the views that make this a really special place to eat add in attentive staff, high level of cleanliness and this is a deeply impressive place

Response to below review we always come here and we know the guys in black shirts can be a bit robotic at times but the actual family that run this place are lovely people always take time to talk to us and if ever a issue they would make it right!Sometime food anywhere can be off at times maybe try again on a busy day when head chef in.We find most restaurants we go through week never as good as ok there busy day because good kitchen team is off!And every restaurant has or will have issues with rats and mice same as all our homes!!!!!We have to treat problem and fight it keep food area clean and sure this is same for Chung ku

Great dim sum but poor management and customer service. We have been overcharged the last few times we went; check your bill carefully as they do not itemise the food and provide a “total”, which has been wrong a few times. We went back last week with the marked dim sum card and credit card receipt to show them where they went wrong. We were asked if we made an error and forgot to include something on the bill. We purposefully noted everything we ordered that day to check their calculations. We were asked to come back a week later while they investigated. When we returned a week later, they did not apologise for their error. They blamed the additional items on mistakenly adding another table’s additional orders onto our bill (unsure how they would have checked this) and pointed out that they hadn’t made any more money because of the error, ie seemingly inferring that no harm had been done. No apologies; just a poorly made up excuse. We begrudgingly got our refund back. We will not be going back. Check your bills.

Beautiful view of the River Mersey. Fantastic food and service.

Really good food and prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. They have a English menu and a Chinese menu with additional dishes. This I personally find to be a very unwise practise but their restaurant their rules. The restaurant feels a little cramped but the large glass windows gives a great view. The service like many busy Chinese restaurants is very rushed from the servers.Food is very fast. The only negative point seems to be that you have to carefully check the bill.On many other reviews people complain that the bill is itemised in Chinese only and the drinks are not itemised at all. As such some people complained that additional dishes or drinks were added to their bill! This didn't happened to us but the table next to made a complaint that they were over charged two additional drinks that they hadn't ordered and that the same thing also happened to them the previous visit. So great food but check the bill and if it's in Chinese ask them to translate it even if the server seems impatient.

Really nice restaurant. Food was delicious and nicely presented, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Don’t stuff your face, they’ll give you a doggy bag at the end!
