Crown Carvery Halfway House in Liverpool

Came in today to taste the new menu and it was spectacular! The food was amazing, the lady who served us Cathy was lovely, always asking us about drink refills and the man behind the bar mark always had a smile on his face, the staff in here are nothing but friendly, thank you halfway!

Wonderful place and lovely friendly staff including the attentive service and warm welcome from Kathy throughout. Would recommend as a place for groups or those having a quiet peaceful meal by themselves as I did. Had a delightful little few hours there and would come again and again!

Went for lunch on Monday with my two sisters, we all had a lovely afternoon, the food was excellent and the service from Catherine was brilliant, would definitely reccomend and we will use there again.

Had a lovely meal here tonight with friends, the food is lovely and the atmosphire is so relaxed. Its about 10 years since we were last there and it was lovely to see cathy still working there, she is a lovely lady and nothing is too much trouble.

Nice local, cheap food & drink pricing - Kids like it here. Service always timely and without fuss.Cathy is lovely who serves the food and the landlord went extra mile to sort out a parking ticket we had!.Thanks guys ✨

Went with the family, great customer service especially Kathy, food was great as usual, didn’t wait long for food rather quick, all staff were friendly, accommodating and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Very disappointing as we were served the wrong drinks, then offered more drinks, not ours. The starter we asked for wasn't available and the replacents weren't very good. Potato skins didn't have any bacon and the prawns were overcooked. Our mains were better, one steak & chicken, one chicken and ribs. We enjoyed them but the chips weren't hot. Kathy was very pleasant though but was clearly rushed off her feet!

Don't order the Christmas roast. Over priced for what you get and poor quality roasties and veg all rock hard. I had to ask for chips so I had something to eat with my meat and gravy. I can't comment on the stuffing and Yorkshire pudding as I am gluten free. Very disappointed as I drove over from the Wirral to meet my work colleagues and was looking forward to an average roast at the very least.The waitress was lovely though

Foods OK, looks better than it tastes, but bland, big portions, chicken bit dry, tasteless, chicken platter with no chicken wings. No butter for corn on cob.Pints are nice, staff friendly, lovely decor and set up.. Great for watching the food all, tvs are really clear.. Cooks let this place down ..

Just enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal here with hubby and grandson. All cooked to perfection, compliments to the chef. Waiting on staff were lovely, nothing too much trouble.
