Enjoyed the vegan afternoon tea, tasty sandwiches, I particularly liked the curried filling - but deducted a star as the bread was too thick for me. Staff attentive and friendly.Excellent value. Yet again forgot to take a photo!

overall the whole place is fairly nice. however me and me gran decided to head to the cafe for lunch. we were dazzled by the length of the line first of all, it was heading out of the door and my gran was slightly appalled. as we enter the line, we were stood there respectfully and socially acceptably until the woman behind us in the line was rather derogatory with her actions. we later found her name to be vicky, and her actions upset my gran greatly. the woman decided to push my gran out of the way to get further in the line, yet my gran stumbled on her walker and fell to the floor. we ended up ignoring what happened because we didn't want to escalate the situation further, after all the gran is quite fiesty and i don't think the staff would have appreciated a fist fight between the elders in the middle of the cafe. as we go to order, the staff are relatively friendly and put our order through. however slightly taken back by the high prices, a pot of jam that seemed as small as to cover half of my grans scone was ÂŁ0.65 and same for the butter, but we chose to ignore these prices and go ahead with our order. we go to take a seat in the dining area, yet when I sit down my chair felt rather unsettling. turns out around 40 seconds after sitting down, we hear a slight creak and my chair leg splits into two, resulting in my chair wobbling to the ground. this upset me and my gran but we got a replacement chair fairly fast and the one waiter was very apologetic. as our food arrives, we recieve our scone and pancakes and the waiter was once again, rather polite. however, poor jan's dentures (false teeth) came out when she bit into the rock hard scone. very disappointed in this and it greatly upset the gran. i hurried to the rescue, retrieving them from the dusty and jacket potato stained flooring. we decide to finish our meal which didn't take too long, not to mention our coffees were missing possibly a couple sugars, i like mine with a good 6 and Jan likes hers with a good 4. as we are peacefully enjoying our meal, i couldn't help but notice the bird, possibly a rock dove, fly straight into the window the poor thing. this may suggest that we need to decrease the light intake of the building but other than that the build is rather flattering.

Went for lunch today cafe very poorly ran dirty tables, poor food and rude staff (im guessing she was the cafe supervisor) and expensive. Only positive was the friendly young girl that had the job of clearing the tables full of left over breakfast dishes in the soft play area that clearly had not been cleared or cleaned in quite a while!

I loved the bonsai tree in vivarium. A birthday present for my son. Good advice from staff about care and watering.

Visited the Speke branch today for afternoon tea and it was absolutely lovely. I had the vegan Afternoon tea and couldn't believe how much there was for one person and the selection. My friends had the regular one. It was all so nice and the service from Lois was fabulous. To top it all off Tony from the plant section highlighted the free wooden crates and then helped me and my friend take them to the car. Fabulous food, lovely staff. Would definitely go again.

Dobbies promotes themselves as a Dog friendly Garden Centre. We have been today to the Liverpool branch and went into the Coffee shop. There was 3 tables in the dog friendly area with 2 chairs at each table all full with people without dogs. We sat in the other area with our Dog (3 people in our party) and another family sat opposite us with a table of 6 people inc children and there dog. A man came over to us when we had just finished our refreshments and told us we shouldn’t be sat in the area we were.He told us we couldn’t come in with a dog unless we sat in the dog friendly area. I said to him that all the tables were taken and he said you shouldn’t have come in then. I said to him if he would like us to move would he go and ask the people that didn’t have a dog to move so we could sit at the table. This man had no customer service skills and will stop people visiting the store if he speaks to them like he spoke to us.Don’t say your dog friendly and then make people feel uncomfortable when you don’t provide enough space to accommodate them.

Absolutely love this shop,I can get so many things here from plants to groceries, it has a cafe that sells the most delicious cream scones etc. It is also dog friendly so you can take your pooch shopping with you, if you haven't been to this store your missing out I highly recommend this shop

Took my aunt for lunch & bit disappointed on toilets, tissue on floors, unflushed toilets, 1 hand dryer working..Dining area= Dirty table, cups & saucers were tea/coffee stained...I didn't realise I had to clean up before using any of the facilities.. maybe wise to have a member of staff to do check list.

We have visited Dobbies a lot over the years.1. The cafe ... the fresh cream scones have always been a hit. Soft, tasty and huge with strawberry jam. Friendly staff. Prices are a little steep for some items. Breakfast is beautiful tasty and plentiful. Good value for money.Toilets are clean and accessible.2. The shop has a range of items. Especially good for Christmas decorations, gifts and cards.3. Santa's grotto I didn't go this year but previous years experience was smashing. Lovely decorations, nice Santa and a good gift.Parking is plentiful with accessible parking next to entrance.

A wide variety of products with some very nice food items. High quality garden instruments and a very good selection of plants and shrubs.
