Not been in for long time but was impressed. Very friendly staff who made me feel welcome bringing dog in which always nervous in doing so. Food was great. Will pop back.

Staff all lovely . I can recommend the halloumi and avocado burger, it's amazing. Great value food, big portions. Great pub.

Myself (22) and my colleague Cal (23),Had a trip to the world famous Dovedale Towers on a beautiful sunny Wednesday for a spot of lunch. The beers were superb and very reasonably priced, I cannot say the same for the adult food menu. This sparked the brilliant idea to order the children’s Cheese burger, beans and chips priced at £6. This was real bang for your buck in these trying times as the portion size was perfect. Presentation was superb although we believed that the grease paper designed to look like a news paper page was too much for kids, however the ceramic pots for the beans were very cute. Lastly the service unfortunately lacked a smile but this can be forgiven due to the busy atmosphere.Highly recommend penny Lane pilsners to wash down the kids menu.Sincerely,The King’s Meals.

Great Historical Pub / Eatery with a strong pedigree and connection to the Music scene over the years. Will return. Highly recommended!

Booked a table on Sunday for 6. Got there and was assigned a table clearly designed for 4. Staff very helpful in asking some other customers to swap but when we went to order food we were told it was at least an hour and a half wait. We left after one drink.

Visited the area and spend a great evening at Dovetail Towers. Food was good, well priced with generous portion sizes. Atmosphere was lively without being too noisey. Will come again next time I'm in the area.

Went for lunch on Monday after the Euros final so didn't expect it to be busy. There were a few people in there but really quite quiet as expected. We ordered a sandwich which was really nice. The reason for marking it down was that the place felt unclean. After a busy evening, I would have expected a thorough clean in the morning but the tables were sticky and you could see beer swilled on the walls. It didn't discourage us but could do with a thorough clean up

Great informative staff. Nice atmosphere, good beer and fab interiors. What an amazing place , well priced food, large beer garden and dogs are welcomed
