Our first visit and we all loved it, even my non vegan/veggie husband and teens. Delicious food and very friendly service; good value for money. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you 😊 x

Awesome vegan food! the burger with Mac and cheese was a personal favourite. We ordered the cauliflower to start and then 2 topped fries and 2 burgers - 1 fries might have been enough but they were just too good to choose from. Cocktails also amazing and my brother didn't like his (it had coconut in) and they swapped it free of charge. 10/10

Really enjoyed this place for some vegan dinner! I was very happy when they let me order off the kids menu as a lot of places seem to have issues with adults ordering a small portion but they were very happy to let me so I got Mac n cheese which was very nice and extremely filling for a kids meal it was a lot! No idea how massive the adults would be! Very good price my fiancé had burger and loaded fries which he loved! Only one issue they did run out of vodka but not their fault we were going for a drink else where after dinner anyways! Staff very friendly and helpful

After accidentally going here without realising it was a vegan restaurant we decided to give it ago as has great reviews. First thing I'll give it credit for the taste, everything was tasty. What I enjoyed less was things not being what we expected. We ordered a Mac & Cheese but it turned out to be pasta in a red sause and apart from a sprinkle of cheese on top there wasn't any cheese in it. Similarly the Mac burger disappointed. There was no taste of cheese and it turned into a sloppy mess with the bread falling apart. As I mentioned the food was tasty but I didn't feel it lived up what we actually ordered. I also think for price it does not live up to the portion quantity it talks about on the website, the Mac & Cheese was no a very big portion. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful.

Visited Down the Hatch with my non-vegan friends, we all absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and the service was also great, very friendly people. We had the salt and pepper chickn, made from mushrooms that my non-vegans friends commented they couldn't tell the difference, especially in the flavour. We also had the mac n cheese burger which was amazing and the the loaded fries and tater tots were insane! Recommend Down the Hatch for vegans and non-vegans alike.

We ate here last night before seeing the Liverpool Philharmonic. It was booked by my friend who hadn't considered that the vegan 'junk' food on the menu was incompatible with the dietary requirements of a diabetic on a ketogenic diet who also has a wheat intolerance. Basically the food consists of root vegetables (sugar), above-ground vegetables (less sugar but still sugar), fruit (lots of sugar) and wheat based products such as Seitan. If you aren't diabetic and don't have a wheat intolerance this is fine and certainly no less healthy than any other junk food.Fortunately the staff were wonderful. They really tried their best to accommodate my needs and were very helpful. They advised against certain foods and eventually the chef made me a soya mince dish which was bound together with cheese rather than Seitan. It was served with fries but they also produced a green salad to order.I would recommend this restaurant and the staff on duty last night are to be commended for going above and beyond.

We loved visiting here because of delicious and generous portions, good value and friendly ambience. We where not sure it was the right place with the little basement entrance, but inside is fine with interesting artwork.Probably the best vegan/veggie food we've eaten.

Without a doubt this restaurant has the best veggie/vegan food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The flavour and quality of the food is outstanding, service is fantastic. Seriously though ...get the Mac n cheese burger..bloody unreal. ...enough reading this post, order a Uber and get over there now. Other places will only bring remorse and regret.

Such an awesome place, best vegan junk food i've had- where else can you get a vegan mac and cheese burger?! The staff were great and the service was quick. I liked the personal touches, like the cute notes in the bathrooms :)
