I came for bottomless brunch here with 11 other people on Saturday and it was amazing! The staff were attentive and couldn't do more for us, the cocktails were flowing and the food was incredible. Will deffo be visiting again when I'm next in Liverpool.Good job guys!

Ordered brunch delivery from East River and overall, the experience was bit disappointing. Most of the food arrived cold, which I can understand, with busy time, waiting for delivery driver etc.Missing items on the vegetarian breakfast and sizeable chunks of egg shell in the poached egg are no fail of delivery though - just lack of attention. It's a shame as menu is fun and different, would love to see it do better.

I hate posting negative reviews but our experience at East River today was really not good. Three of us visited this morning for breakfast as the reviews looked great and pics very tempting; we were sat upstairs. To be honest, our first impressions were not good as a few tables were still dirty, the floor looked as though it hadn't been cleaned for days, there were stains on the seats we sat on and also stains on the walls. Unfortunately, the place itself looked very tired and worn (including ladies toilets). We ordered a vegan breakfast, a classic breakfast and eggs florentine with a few extras but waited a good 40 mins for it to arrive. When we finally got our food the classic breakfast was totally inedible with burnt, rock hard sausage and bacon; the beans on the vegan breakfast were cold and the tomatoes were missing; the eggs on the eggs florentine were also hard when they should be runny. We sent the classic breakfast back and also the cold beans then told the waitress(who was really lovely and polite) that tomatoes were also missing but we didn't want to wait another long time for replacement classic or beans etc. To be fair, I ate my eggs florentine, as it was edible but not the best and some of the vegan breakfast was eaten even though items were missing. We informed the manager about our meals, he apologised and although I said I was happy to pay for the one meal I consumed he wiped the bill and again apologised so I felt the staff dealt with the complaint very well. I won't be returning to East River and sadly wouldn't recommend it at all.

Staff could not be better. Always a warm welcome, the food was amazing. Garden in the summer is so relaxed, you can forget there's a main road a few metres away.

Cute place with a nice atmosphere, small variety of breakfasts in the morning and larger, most varied menu for the evenings. Quality of the food is always great and the staff are friendly and attentive.
