I love the food in this place and I have been always excited to go there but I am not going back anymore after my last experience.Went there on a Sunday night, first there were 3 staff just chatting on the entrance and we were waiting 5 mins someone just to greet us. Then we ordered and waited for an hour without anyone paying attention on us. We realized that we won't have any dinner when seeing everyone tidying the kitchen and the pizza place. When we asked a member of the staff about our food, he just dissappeared and didn't come back to us. We left and on our way back stopped to speak with someone and had to wait for their attention again while they were just chatting to each other.I have never had such a bad experience in a restaurant before.Lovely food but poor organisation!

We went here on a Sunday night, service was very slow, took over an hour for main courses to arrive. Not all drinks were Vailable and twice the wrong drinks were brought go the table. Food was OK, good size portions. Probably wouldn't come back, although judging by development plans this place will not be around gor long due go planning activity

One of my favouritest go to places in Chester! Overlooking the river Dee and the meadows, it’s one of THE best dining experience with view you could find! During the summer times with three tiers of outdoor seating, you get to see one of the most picturesque sunsets in Cheshire. During winter, the fairy lights and the warm ambiance, makes it a great place for parties and celebrations! The food is mouth-wateringly delicious! The service is impeccable as always. Hard to find a fault tbh. Will keep going until the council decides it’s better to keep the place as it is. It’s a gem honestly and I can’t imagine Chester without Et Alia!

Great offers for 50% off on a Wednesday and a Sunday! Food was amazing. Fresh gluten free pizza (available when advised about 24 hours in advance), the gluten free pasta is a penne. Everything was delicious

This place is lovely , the food was great the only reason I've given it a 4 instead of a 5 is they didn't have any alcohol free beer/ lager and as a large restaurant u wud think it wud cater for all. The food was delicious

It is a really lovely spot, which I have visited many times and which, in it's current incarnation, is a very pleasant place to eat. The staff are friendly and helpfull, the food was tasty and, on this occasion, half price, so a real bargain! The views are worthy of a visit, facilities were clean and tidy so all in all, well worth visit. The other reason to go is there are plans to turn it into apartments! Money, money, money. So go while you can!

Amazing Afternoon Tea, bargain at £10. Extra tea/coffee was extra but for what we had no quibbles from us. Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Great setting so peaceful watching River drift by. Would highly recommend and won't be waiting too long to go back 😁

Always enjoy Et Alia, one of my favourite spots to dine by the River. Sunset sessions on the terrace with a glass of red are amazing.

This place is outstanding. The cleanliness was perfect and the views are stunning from its full length glass windows. The food is super scrumptious and good size portions. Excellent menu. All in all a fabulous restaurant.
