Etsu Japanese Restaurant in Liverpool

So for an authentic Japanese experience it was good. Sadly the experience was not the best since we had to wait a long time before i had to call someone to even order drinks. Then waiting another long time to get our food ordered, then again maki and salmon took a long time to even make (its cold food) and the resturant wasnt busy either.Saki was a pleasent drink which ive never had before, lovely decor and food presented well.If you do go, dont rely on staff to come to you, call them over when you are ready otherwise there will be a wait.

Freshest of fish. Chef’s special Hamachi was faultless. Great team. My place of pilgrimage each time I visit Liverpool.

Fresh, authentic, delicious.There are few sushi/ Japanese places in Liverpool but Etsu is by far the best.The food is fresh and really good with fast service. They also have a good range of sake.Two things: be patient with some of the waiters as English is not their first language and most important, do order the soft shell crab!

Have been here for several times. I totally agree other comments that this is the best Japanese restaurant in Liverpool ( at least my opinion). Also their service is much better than most restaurants in Liverpool and the service charge is not on the bill but I still give the tips because of the brilliant service. 👍👍👍 Plum Wine is excellent if you like fruity drinks 🍹

Hands down our favourite restaurant in Liverpool, we eat here once every few months. It has a very authentic Japanese vibe, the food is incredible and the staff are welcoming and very respectful. This is a 5 star experience for us each and every time.

It really is a taste of Japan.You will struggle to find a better Japanese restaurant on this island. I’ve certainly not had better Unagi anywhere. We always enjoy a mountain of food but it’s gone before many pictures can be taken!The hospitality is also second to none. We have been coming since 2015 and as long as the doors remain open we will always be coming back.5 stars is not enough for this place.

Absolutely amazing here! Food quality was great and our bellies were most certainly happy after leaving here! Staff were wearing masks, sanitized the tables once customers have finished and upon arrival there is hand sanitizer machine! They were very friendly and made sure we were looked after.They're doing such a fantastic job while we're in this pandemic and making sure everything is safe while enjoying brilliantly delicious food!Really great first impression and I definitely look forward to going back again!If you're looking for great Japanese cuisine, with high quality food, I would definitely recommend this place.

Delicious food and super friendly staff. Very accommodating to requests. Some tables even have charging points - really saved me as I had low battery and a while to wait until I could charge it. Would definitely recommend

Visited this restaurant for my birthday, it was just me and my partner.We could not have chosen a better place! My boyfriend visited this restaurant years ago and he still remembers how happy he was- and I've never been before.What. A. Place.Food is definitely top quality. We shared sushi, and not only was it probably the best I've ever had, it was also beautiful to see.Our waitress was the nicest lady ever, always very smiley and very friendly.I definitely recommend this place for a special occasion.

I had the chef's special and I just got a plate of sushi (very nice sushi) but nothing to make it a chef's special. Husband had the steak and he thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful
