Greek Taverna Bold Street in Liverpool

Food was really tasty and in large portions. Service was friendly and quick. Will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends!

Good atmosphere, excellent and delicious food. Attentive and kind staff with a fast service. The place was impeccably clean. The price was fair for 3 starters, two main courses and 2 drinks. Definitely recommend, the food is awesome.

Not as special as advertised. The food is ok (generally not delicious, except one starter - goat cheese and spinach fritters) yet service isn’t where it needs to be. In particular the most senior waiter in front of house was missing his standards. It was a much better experience to be cared by two other people who were more junior but kinder and very careful, than from the more senior.

Very clean place, from the table to the decorative elements, which is always a good start.Just had a chicken kebab at about £15. Generous portions with those delicious Greek style chips.Kebab was very moist - I would personally have preferred a little more char- but that didn't detract from a great plate of food. Happily recommended

Fantastic food and staff, I definitely recommend it. The lamb was cooked to perfection and it was pretty big, 2 people could have that for sure.Dolmates were also very food, proper restaurant made food.

Thought it might be good as it was the only place that was busy.Great atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff and gorgeous food...huge portions. The teenagers had chicken nuggets from the children's menu🙄, so when eldest(15) heard that the portion was just 3, he decided to get a double portion...no need, the 3 were huge (probably a whole chicken breast all together), he only managed 1 extra off his second plate😂.Our tzatziki, stifado and lamb kebab were perfect, could have been in Greece. Will definitely be visiting again, next time we're in Liverpool.

I honestly didn't expect restaurant quality food (and prices) in a place called "Taverna" on Bold street.The food was absolutely delicious and the place was so busy and buzzing, which is 100% justified.Absolutely delicious everything. Highly recommend.

Came here for Mums birthday. There were 3 of us. On a Wednesday its £13.99 for 2 courses all day. Made a reservation which is required as it was busy. The restaurant is very tidy. They tidy the tabless and disinfect them. You can't sit at a table until its done. We got the bread and dips and I gor the garlic mushrooms,. The bread and dips were lovely and fresh. The mushrooms were cooked perfect. For mains we had the chicken supreme, chicken kebab and I paid an extra £2 for chicken and lamb kebab. Included was handmade chips which were lovely. The lamb kebab was really tender. The chicken supreme was nice but the sauce was a bit rich. The portions were quite big but we ate it all. After eating the mains we were all full so didn't have a dessert. When I come again I wouldn't have the bread so I could have a dessert.

Really impressed with this place! Restaurant looks beautiful. Portions were bigger than expected I ordered an early Bird menu, with one starter and one main and couldn't finish all the food. But also food was super delicious! Meat was super tender and juicy and everything just tasted lovely.
