Hope and smoke in Liverpool

We found this little gem on Google. The reviews were superb so we gave it a try. All three of us had starters as well as mains in this popular little haven and we all gave top scores for everything we had. Considering there was one chef and only two front of house, we were attended to by very friendly, attentive staff who miraculously managed to look after a lot of customers with genuine smiles and helpful information. We live more than a hundred miles away but will be bringing more people next time it was that special. Well done, thank you and look forward to next time!

Not planned Birthday meal. Very very nice. BBQ ribs excellent, as we're the burgers and chicken skewer and 20% discount equals great value for money

Lovely meal here this evening - we had the salt and pepper halloumi and two roast dinners.The staff are very helpful and attentive, and the food is well priced.The reason I've not given 5 stars is because the roast potatos were dry and waxy, very hard to cut through - and the vegetarian option could be something better like a nut roast, rather than another piece of veg ☺ overall very nice though!

We had a fantastic meal here to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday. The service was excellent, the cocktails were incredible and the food was perfect. Thanks so much, hoping to return next time we are in Liverpool

Had a lovely tasty meal and great service for me, my mum, 2 adult daughters and my baby granddaughter. We were offered a highchair straightaway which was great and were given plenty of time to view the menu as there were so many things we wanted to try. Tables were nice and clean and it has a calming atmosphere. We had a lovely cocktail whilst waiting for our food. Food was delicious and good sized portions. Would definitely go back again.

Food was absolutely superb. Perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing. Cocktails were so good too. Strawberry and elderflower fizz in picture.

Food was really good but had to wait over 1 hour for the food despite us ordering before most of the restaurant and just watched as everyone else was getting served.

Love it here. The small plates are all proper tasty and the katsu chicken burger is probably one of the best things I've ever tasted. Great atmosphere too they always have good music on and the staff are sound.

The Sunday roast is spot on the desserts are to die for, the staff are fast and polite it's a little gem this place 😋 love the cocktails too!

Date of visit: Friday evening Sept 2021.The food was amazing.Chicken skewer was perfect.Made good use of the small space.Good live music.I'd give this place a 5star but the service was slow and forgetful.Would come back again.
