Friendly staff, didn't have to wait long for drinks nor too long for food, the beers was cold and the food hot. Would definitely go again. Very reasonably priced

Variety of choice is great. Previously, Steaks + mixed grills were always served on a sizzling platter. For some reason on my last visit, u served my mixed grill on a plate which is not as nice. Food cools down too quickly on a plate +if its been sitting there under the chefs lights, its only luk warm when u receive it. Presentation +hot food makes a difference to the enjoyment of the food. Pls go back to serving food on sizzling platters, its more enjoyable. Thx

What a brilliant boozer - appears to be under new management since my last visit. I didn’t quite catch his name but he was handsome and bald - anywho, he couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was magnificent and the service was just splendid. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

To start not enough staff. No check back from staff on food, we were given dirty cutlery three times / not enough cutlery for table of 5. When we ordered food 3 of our party had to try and order meals at least three times as alot of meals out of stock, even the poor girl behind the bar was embarrassed and said it would be quicker if she told us what you had in stock. Food was good can't complain there, it just all come abit staggered as we were told we ordered separately so food was on all different tickets. (but that was due to having many meals out of stock not our fault) then to top it off orders dessert oh and again one of the desserts was out of stock. We must of waited at least 30 minutes for the desserts even though they were chased twice!! Two tables around us totally finished and left before we had dessert, when the desserts finally come they were not correct as childs portion was the same as adults? One of which tables were treated lovley as they had been invited back as a complaint table. Says its all really. Once again good food but not good enough.

Fantastic afternoon at The Jolly to see the fabulous Peter Binns as Elvis. Food was great, good service - shout out to Sarah. Throughly recommended. Peter did a great job as usually even with a small audience.

We ate here tonight and the greatest asset here, has to be the staff!!There was many things missing from the menu, due to the current shortages. They way the staff dealt with them and the mass of people all wanting food we phenomenal. Ok so it took almost an hour from ordering to getting your food but the wait was certainly worth it.I had the millionaire burger, wow what a burger! Almost had to break it down to be able to eat it but eat it I did and loved every mouthful. My wife had the Hunters Chicken Skillet, it was excellent value for money. Tasty, hot and extremely filling. Our daughter had the Mac & Cheese, with an awesome salad and garlic bread. The drinks really were an excellent standard, selection and price.Certainly a place we’d not only recommend but also would definitely frequently again when in the area.
